The mission of University Advancement is to secure support for Michigan State University in terms of money, talent, service, and advocacy by delivering an integrated program of communications, marketing, and engagement. SUMMARY:
As a valued member of the University Advancement (UA) Prospect Development Team, the Data Integrity Analyst will work closely with the Strategic Data Management Team to manage/maintain the data integrity of prospect and proposal activity in support of Michigan State University. Utilizing systems and business processes, the Analyst will assist in managing prospect and proposal data and producing, documenting, and delivering timely, accurate, and complete reporting to members of the UA team. The role includes inspecting, cleaning, transforming, and maintaining UA’s CRM to help ensure accurate and relevant data to support UA staff. The Analyst will be responsible for learning and maintaining detailed knowledge of the business rules governing management of prospect-related records.
Reporting to the Sr. Associate Director of Prospect Analytics, Reporting & Data Integrity, key responsibilities of the Data Integrity Analyst include, but are not limited to the following:

Portfolio Management and Modifications
• Work closely with the Prospect Development Team to make any assignments, continuum stage, proposal, or other standard prospect management updates within UA’s CRM. This includes management of sunsetting assignments/proposals and strategy records.
• Review and perform initial validation on new wealth screening results and work with PD Consultants for additional validation and to update wealth ratings within the UA CRM
• Tools: Effectively use UA’s CRM, Cognos Reports, Microsoft Excel, and subscription databases and online research resources

• Manage the integrity and accuracy of all prospect and proposal data, ensuring compliance with Advancement policies and guidelines

• Review and perform initial validation on new wealth screening results and work with PD Consultants for additional validation and to update wealth ratings within the UA CRM

• Manage the integrity and accuracy of all prospect and proposal data, ensuring compliance with Advancement policies and guidelines
• Monitor prospect and proposal stage migration, through audit reports, to help ensure prospects are managed effectively and moved through the development cycle as appropriate
• Collaborate with AIS-DS Trainer to identify data integrity issues that suggest the need for UA staff training or re-training

TYPICAL TASKS Duties may include but are not limited to the following: Plans, identifies, and conducts comprehensive research studies and operational improvement projects to analyze effectiveness of department policies, programs, services, systems and operating procedures; determines appropriate methods of approach and analysis, including involvement of internal staff and collaboration with stakeholders; develops scope and timelines, including identifying and utilizing resources and mitigating difficulties; establishes criteria to identify and measure quality, effectiveness and compliance; designs, collects and may oversee collection of data; conducts data analysis and quality reviews including interviewing programs to obtain valuable information to support projects; The position will provide project management of several department strategic initiatives including electronic records systems, workforce planning and performance evaluation programs, and once programs are in place will maintain them. That will include leading and coordinating the work of the administrative team by providing work direction, assigning work, training employees, checking for completed work and ensuring completion within established time and budget guidelines for projects. Develops, recommends and audits program performance measures that are influenced by the management of department-wide projects and initiatives. Evaluates performance in relation to department/division goals and budget. Conducts quality and compliance audits to assist management with performance management. Supports department planning efforts by providing recommendations on organizational improvement methods and department efficiencies. Leads and facilitates planning meetings and conducts interviews with cross-functional teams to identify organizational improvements or to gather needed information for project progression. Assists in planning process to identify customer needs and ways to measure effectiveness, efficiency, and general performance. Support department staff in documenting work flow by applying principles of continuous improvement, and integrating performance information into organizational processes. Coordinates and leads work performed by staff participating on department task forces who are contributing to department projects. The team often conducts studies or surveys of the organization, programs, systems, and methods, and develops and organizes project scope and timelines. When applicable would recommend project budget. The position will manage project steps and incorporate effective participation of task force team members and stakeholders. Provides organizational support, research and materials. Monitors and tracks project budget, schedule and performance. Coordinates project activities with department work groups or programs with stakeholders. Recommends changes to project plans in response to unforeseen changes or unexpected results and obtains approvals to proposed changes in project scope, budget, or schedule with the Administration Manager. Evaluates, organizes, and reports findings and identifies and recommends options or solutions and their associated benefits or impacts. Researches and incorporates current best practices and emerging trends and prepares comprehensive reports and presentations, which may include researching information from outside agencies. Presents information to Administration Manager and at times may present directly to the department Leadership Team. Recommends changes to policies and operational systems to improve quality, maybe regulatory compliance, and to mitigate potential operational risks. Develops, writes, or revises policies and procedures and works directly with Subject Matter Experts on updates. Provides implementation options and develops and recommends methods to improve operations. Develops processes for systematic organizational improvement. Coordinates and manages policy life cycles and ensures Department is in compliance with policy updates. WORK SCHEDULE This position is included in the County's alternate workweek program: Potential work schedules include working 40 hours during a standard workweek of Monday through Thursday (Fridays off, with four 10-hour days) or 40 hours during a standard workweek of Monday through Friday (with five 8-hour days). Specific hours of work will be discussed with the candidate selected for this position at the time an offer of employment is extended. This position is eligible for hybrid on-site/telework subject to the Clackamas County Teleworking Policy and based on the Department's business needs. The exact amount of on-site/telework and schedule will be discussed with the hiring manager during time of offer. Telework locations cannot be located outside of Oregon or Washington. Washington residents must perform 50% of their time on-site at Clackamas County.
