Role

The Administrative Analyst will be the first point of contact and will provide support for the agency’s Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) firms and small businesses interested in SANDAG contracting opportunities.  This position provides heavy administrative office support, maintains and updates systems and databases, and coordinates various outreach activities to help educate and encourage enrollment and interest from Small Disadvantaged Businesses in the San Diego Region.  

Overview of the Diversity and Equity Department

The Office of Diversity and Equity helps ensure small and disadvantaged businesses have access to contracting opportunities with SANDAG. The Diversity and Equity team has created highly effective and award winning “Bench” programs which are intended to connect larger sized firms that have existing SANDAG contracts, with disadvantaged and small business firms that have interest in contracting opportunities with SANDAG. 

Typical Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with major course work in public administration, business administration, or a related field. A combination of education and recent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • One to three years of experience compiling and analyzing data for business or program management and performing administrative support functions for a busy program area.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain tracking and reporting systems using spreadsheets and database systems.
  • Experience accurately entering a high-volume of data into various systems; excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Experience compiling and maintaining data/information; experience with extrapolating, interpreting, and manipulating data from systems or databases.
