The position manages 10-15 employees or contract staff responsible for the architecture, engineering and 3rd level support of the product set managed.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
B.S. degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Business, or another related field, is preferred.
The Messaging and Conferencing Manager should have extensive knowledge of technology-related disciplines, with a strong focus on collaboration products, including Microsoft 365. They must be knowledgeable about current and emerging relevant industry-related products, techniques, and trends.
The Messaging and Conferencing Manager should have a positive attitude, strong focus on quality and strive to enhance the technology experience of our business partners. They should be open to challenging the status quo for the betterment of the business and the services provided.
The primary focus of this role is to provide collaboration technology solutions and services, while keeping in mind the importance of delivering excellent business value. The Messaging and Conferencing Manager should stay informed about the market and adjust solution sets as needed to ensure Fortune 500 Company is maximizing the value of its technology investments and expenses. This includes evaluating new product releases for compatibility with our environment.
Our technology suppliers are a vital part of our technology ecosystem and must be fully leveraged. The Messaging and Conferencing Manager needs to be able to both negotiate with our vendor partners and hold them accountable for the service level quality to which they are contractually committed. They should be able to interface with technology vendors to define roadmaps, escalate issues, and solve complex problems.
The Messaging and Conferencing Manager must understand basic budgetary principles and techniques, being able to distinguish, plan, and oversee capital and operating budgets. Knowledge of the Microsoft Renewal process and/or experience with Microsoft contract negotiations is a plus.
Knowledge of security protocols, standards and best practices related to messaging and conferencing environments.
Experience creating, planning, and executing a strategic technology roadmap.

Additionally, it requires the Messaging and Conferencing Manger to maintain technical currency.
The Messaging and Conferencing Manager is expected to continually analyze demand against capability, compared to costs, and make recommendations to stretch our technology dollars further.
The Messaging and Conferencing Manager is expected to stay abreast of business needs/changes, along with emerging trends, techniques, or solutions pertaining to the collaboration technology space.
They should be strategic, someone who can look ahead and create long-range vision, strategies, roadmaps, and plans.
When business needs arise for new capabilities or unplanned demand, the Messaging and Conferencing Manager is expected to respond quickly and effectively.
This requires continuous evaluation of demand and reprioritization of work based on ever-changing business dynamics.
The position must also develop and maintain strong relationships with key technology managers within Workplace Solutions, Infrastructure, Security, and Compliance.
Collaboration tools include communication components that require a cross-functional partnership to manage.
This position works especially closely with the Productivity Technologies Manager to collaboratively manage the Microsoft 365 collaborative suite and other select applications.
Developing and maintaining a strong cross functional team across Messaging and Productivity is crucial.
Managing our vendor or supplier partners is a vital element of the Messaging and Conferencing Manager role. Negotiating best pricing, along with holding our supplier partners accountable for delivering quality solutions based on committed timeframes, requires a constant focus.
It is vital that our business partners are knowledgeable and informed on the effective use of our available technology. The Messaging and Conferencing Manager is responsible for providing education to business partners across the company on how to use their technology, and to provide instructions to other partner groups, such as the Workplace Support teams on how to support the technology.
The Messaging and Conferencing Manager is responsible for attracting, developing, retaining, and managing a diverse group of technical individual contributors. In this role, they have responsibility for hiring, performance management, terminations and for providing daily work direction, feedback and coaching to their direct reports. They are also responsible for workforce planning for their organization and for appropriately identifying and developing successors for key roles within their team.

Spend your summer providing writing and publishing assistance with the goal of increasing public engagement around Long Island Sound environmental initiatives and coastal water concerns.
In this internship, you’ll assist NEIWPCC with the implementation of the Long Island Sound Study (LISS) Communications, Outreach and Engagement (COE) Plan by:
Writing articles and featuring Long Island Sound Futures Fund projects in Connecticut and New York.
Contributing to LISS’s various online communications channels, assisting with the Living Shoreline Projects interactive map and webpages, and performing web updates.
Supporting the development of public engagement content, participating in occasional site visits to conduct research and capture photo or video, and providing additional programmatic communications support.
The successful candidate will be a skilled writer who is excited about communicating how science and management can help sustain and protect the urban waterway from emerging threats. The candidate will have at least two years of college coursework in communications or journalism. A background in environmental or marine science or policy is preferred. The candidate will be able to work independently and as a team. The ability to shoot and edit photos and videos is desired (equipment would be provided but it is preferred that the intern have access to their own photo and video editing software). Candidates with alternative qualifications or who have taken a less traditional career path may be considered if an aptitude for success and a strong willingness to learn is clearly apparent.

Resource Development and Fundraising :
Collaborate with the President to develop an annual strategy for resource development activities to meet NEW’s fundraising goals of approximately $4.5MM. This includes strategically managing diverse funding streams, consisting of institutional funding, government grants and contracts, corporate support, individual giving, and event revenue.
Build relationships with donors, philanthropists, employment partners, board members, and volunteers.
Collaborate with members of the Board and staff in planning and executing the annual NEW Equity Leadership Awards Luncheon, a key fundraising event with a target goal of $1MM.

Key Responsibilities
Resource Development and Fundraising :
Collaborate with the President to develop an annual strategy for resource development activities to meet NEW’s fundraising goals of approximately $4.5MM. This includes strategically managing diverse funding streams, consisting of institutional funding, government grants and contracts, corporate support, individual giving, and event revenue.
Build relationships with donors, philanthropists, employment partners, board members, and volunteers.
Collaborate with members of the Board and staff in planning and executing the annual NEW Equity Leadership Awards Luncheon, a key fundraising event with a target goal of $1MM.
Work closely and openly with the Board and its committees, ensuring ongoing communication of risks, issues, and successes.
Identify, explore, and pursue untapped areas of funding, particularly in corporate giving, legacy giving, individual donations, and earned income.
Implement and manage CRM, utilizing Salesforce to streamline processes and tracking.
Oversee Ambassador Council activities, collaborating with the VP of Programs, VP of Finance & Operations, and ensuring coordination with fundraising initiatives.
Communication and Community Engagement:
Drive communication and fundraising strategies, aligning them with NEW's long-term and short-term strategy.

Leadership and Management:

Leverage collective talents of the staff as an effective leader of leaders, providing advice, guidance, direction, and decision-making to make progress.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
The successful VP candidate will be a passionate advocate for women’s economic independence, and a dynamic, organized, and ambitious fundraiser and communicator. Position Summary:
Pennovation Works (PW) is a 23-acre site, with a distinctive blend of offices, labs, and production space developed by The University of Pennsylvania to support innovators, entrepreneurs, and industry partners who are engaged in solving real-world problems and translating inventions into viable ventures. Since its founding about five years ago, Pennovation Works has grown into a vibrant community of innovators with over 70 private companies, 11 Penn research entities, several corporate collaborators, and a wide range of University-supported incubation programs. Pennovation Works is currently anchored by three buildings, including: the Inventor Office Building, the Pennovation Lab, and the Pennovation Center (a business incubator that provides wet/dry lab space and acts as the nucleus for collaboration and the exchange of ideas for innovators from all disciplines).
The Communications Associate, Pennovation Works reports to the Managing Director (MD) of Pennovation Works, and is responsible for creating internal and external messaging to the administration, staff, faculty, students, community and professional groups coinciding with the strategic goals of Pennovation Works. Responsibilities include strategic planning, project management, benchmarking analysis and reports, and graphic design, photography, videography, copy writing, and copy editing to implement website updates, social media management and content creation, promotional messaging, presentations, e-newsletters and announcements, and special print and digital collateral/publications.

Qualifications:

Associate Director of Devel, Vet Med / Development Officer II

Unit/Vision/Mission/Purpose/Info
Michigan State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine was formally established as a four-year, degree-granting program in 1910. Today, the college includes three biomedical science departments --Microbiology and Molecular Genetics, Pathobiology and Diagnostic Investigation, and Pharmacology and Toxicology; two clinical departments -- Large Animal Clinical Sciences and Small Animal Clinical Sciences; two service units -- the Veterinary Medical Center and the Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory; and several research centers. The abundance and variety of animal agriculture and companion animals in Michigan provides the college with one of the largest clinical and diagnostic caseloads in the country. Educational and research opportunities are considerably enhanced by this large caseload which exceeds 27,000 each year. The Associate Director of Development is expected to be an accomplished, responsive and collaborative member of the College of Veterinary Medicine Development Team who executes an aggressive schedule of donor activity to ensure a continuous pipeline of private support for the college. The Associate Director will report directly to the Senior Director of Development for the College of Veterinary Medicine. The Associate Director of Development will manage a portfolio of approximately 100 major donor, corporate, and foundation prospects, focusing efforts on individual prospects whose philanthropic capacity is $50,000 or more and corporate prospects to support and grow research opportunities, including within a new clinical trials program. The Associate Director will average 12-15 strategic visits per month, which will result in greater engagement and movement toward a major gift solicitation at a rate of 2 to 4 solicitations per month, with all solicitation efforts cleared and coordinated with the college and University Advancement at Michigan State University. The Associate Director is expected to travel out of state while also managing prospect activity within Michigan.

FUNDRAISING

• Develop and implement targeted strategies to maximize the involvement of key volunteers and faculty members in the College of Veterinary Medicine development effort. Schedule joint prospect visits with members of the college leadership, faculty or other Development colleagues, when appropriate.
• Serve as a liaison officer between the Unit and donors and potential donors to ensure that such information and service as may be desired is provided to the full extent permitted by University policy, rules and regulations.
• Serve as a consultant to donors on the tax advantage of various types of gifts.
• Plan and host campus visits for donors or potential donors or their representatives.
• Prepare annual personal fundraising goals and analyze/report goal accomplishment. Assist in planning and implementing special purpose appeals as necessary.

• Develop and prepare solicitation appeals, development and alum articles, marketing and communication materials, proposals, and other materials with focus on gifts of $50,000 or more that, through the clear identification of funding priorities and articulation of the case for support of the college, engender a level of understanding that is conducive to giving and that help achieve the Unit’s fundraising goals.
• Assist with the coordination of and participation in college alum and donor engagement, prospecting, recognition and stewardship events, as appropriate.
• Utilize constituent relations management programs to coordinate with other development colleagues, record contact activities, update donor information, record strategic moves management steps and gift documentation as appropriate.
• Build working relationships with internal constituents to enhance information exchange between units within the College of Veterinary Medicine, including advising faculty and administrators of appropriate fund-raising strategies.
COMMUNICATIONS/INTERPERSONAL RELATIONSHIPS

The Specialist, Communication is responsible for managing the communication, web, and social media platforms for the Office of the President ensuring the highest standards. Job Description
The University of Nevada, Reno seeks a dynamic professional to fill the Specialist, Communication position for the Office of the President.
The Specialist, Communication is responsible for managing the communication, web, and social media platforms for the Office of the President ensuring the highest standards. This position manages incoming inquiries, comments, and concerns and writes emails, letters, and other tailored correspondence in response. The Specialist must represent the President with appropriate tone and style. The Specialist recognizes individual political sensitivity, trending issues, and personalized nature required of each communication. The Specialist also serves as an event coordinator for the Office of the President with responsibility to ensure the details of the event are well planned and executed and the President is well-prepped for his event obligations.
The position will additionally analyze and prepare data on behalf of the President for internal decision-making and reports to the Board of Regents and other University stakeholders. This position will provide executive support to the Chief of Staff and will support the Director of Special Projects and Assistant to the President on priority projects and needs.
The Specialist will demonstrate an attention to detail, professional attitude, ability to maintain confidentiality, and ability to keep pace with a fast-paced work environment.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree and two (2) years of related work experience; OR
Master's degree and one (1) year of related work experience.
Related Experience: communications, marketing, events or administrative operations or related field.
