Job Description

The Division of Asset Management is looking for an experienced Facilities Operations & Maintenance Manager to lead the daily work of a 25-person department that oversees the 18 facilities delegated to the Office of Management and Finance (OMF). This position is a key member of the OMF Facilities leadership team and is instrumental in supporting City operations.

 

The O&M Manager's team consists of 4 direct reports and approximately 25 FTEs in total, including group supervisors, professional staff, and building trades staff.

 

The O&M Manager develops, prioritizes, and leads departmental operations; supervises staff to ensure work is performed in a safe manner to established expectations; encourages and enables a positive work culture; and addresses performance issues. In addition, this position oversees our work with service providers to ensure that contracted scopes of work are completed on time, according to prescribed service levels, and in compliance with federal, state, and local laws, codes, regulations, and policies.

 

The O&M Manager is a key collaborator and leader within Facilities Services, meeting regularly with staff, customers, and other stakeholders to build and maintain rapport, understand needs, explain Facilities Services' scope and service levels, and collaboratively troubleshoot issues. The O&M Manager is also a member of the Facilities Services leadership team and participates in strategic planning and the prioritization of organization-wide work and resources.
