PAY AND BENEFITS

Annual Pay Range: $44,672.32 - $56,425.80

Hourly Pay Range: $22.908881 - $28.936309

Salary offers will be made within the posted pay range and will be based on a candidate's experience (paid or unpaid) that is directly relevant to the position.

JOB DETAILS AND QUALIFICATIONS

The Case Manager Aide (Workforce Specialist Aide) provides support and connection for vulnerable adults including veterans and adults in custody (AIC) to education, training and employment services. This individual will work inside the Clackamas County Jail and at supportive housing facilities to enroll and serve program participants. The individual in this position serves as a client advocate and must possess the skills to establish supportive and trusting relationships with program participants as well as obtain documentation and maintain records.

Required Minimum Qualifications/ Transferrable Skills:*

Per the Oregon Health Authority, (OAR 333-091-1010 & OAR 333-019-1030), this position is subject to the mandatory COVID-19 vaccine requirement. Prior to the start of employment, the selected candidate must provide proof of full vaccination or have an approved medical or religious exception in place with the County as a qualification of employment.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of related experience that would provide the required knowledge and skills to perform the responsibilities of this position.

  • Must pass a criminal history check which may include national or state fingerprint records check

TYPICAL TASKS

  • Screens client cases to determine assistance needed by clients; performs information and referral functions for other staff and clients to obtain services; provides limited technical assistance when appropriate.

  • Interviews clients and other individuals in correctional facilities, offices, community settings and via phone; assesses the general employment and training needs of the clients which may include personal and community support needs of the clients; reports to professional staff on the needs of clients.

  • Prepares and maintains case records on clients; monitors client case files to ensure clients receive the comprehensive services established by the professional staff; verifies accuracy of information provided by clients, providers and other individuals associated with client cases.

  • Performs data entry of client assessments and required documents; updates and maintains records as directed by professional staff; generates reports on client assessments.

  • Acts as liaison for clients and service providers; responds to questions and resolves problems with paperwork, services, case records and other technical and administrative issues.

  • Researches and investigates community resources and possible service providers; collects program data, prepares reports and evaluates information for special studies; participates in in-service training; provides casework consultation.

  • Manages a small caseload under general supervision; assesses clients; develops and reviews employment plans; writes narratives for case files; updates computerized case records; fields client and provider inquiries; resolves client and provider problems.


REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

The Case Manager Aide (Workforce Specialist Aide) position is a position designed to build toward becoming a Job Development Specialist (Workforce Specialist).

The most critical component to success in this role is an individual with administrative skills to obtain, verify, track and organize information required by these federal grants as is developing rapport and trust. Information is obtained from the client, referring partners, housing partners and employers and maintained electronically.


WORK SCHEDULE

This position is included in the County's alternate workweek program, working 37.5 hours during a standard workweek of Monday through Thursday (Fridays off).

Typical work schedule: M-Th 7:30am - 5:50pm or 7:30am - 6:00pm; 30-60 minute lunch
  • Specific hours of work will be discussed with the candidate selected for this position at the time an offer of employment is extended. This position is designated as on-site/in-person. It is expected that the selected candidate will perform duties at the specified on-site work location.
  • Applicants will need to drive a personal vehicle during the workday to multiple worksite locations (mileage reimbursement is provided for commuting during work hours). County vehicle is available for client transport.
