Job Description The Senior Financial Analyst will report to the Senior Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis and provide advanced analytical support related to financial planning and budgeting, preparation of financial statements and reports, creating financial models and projections, and conducting research and analysis. The senior financial analyst will have strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills and be able to present financial information and models in a visually concise, accurate and easily comprehensible manner. This position will be integral in evaluating the revenue and expenses of the Center to help identify operational efficiencies and revenue growth opportunities while keeping the Center’s mission and values at the forefront. Key Responsibilities Work directly with program stakeholders including Finance and business leaders to prepare and analyze annual budgets and projections through synthesizing both programmatic and financial information. Perform analysis to provide data-driven products to inform business decision-making. Analyze current year budgets and projections in comparison to actual revenues and expenses and work with departments across the center to identify areas of concern and facilitate future recommended projection changes. Under the direct supervision of the Senior Fund Manager and the indirect supervision of the Director of Finance, the Fund Manager manages the income and expenses for assigned cost centers. This includes monthly ledger review, monitoring of quarterly income and expense reports sent to financially complex departments, and implementation of financial protocol schedule in anticipation of fiscal close. The Fund Manager will ensure timely financial management of the School's accounts, invoices, contracts, and grants and monitor the application of accounting principles and activities. Additional major duties include ledger reconciliation, accounts payables, budget preparation, financial forecasting, and income and expense analysis. The incumbent has fiscal and operational responsibility over a portfolio of $2.0 million in extramural research funding, including federal, state, and private industry research awards. The Fund Manager will also work in collaboration with University central campus administrators, department managers, and staff, Law School administrators, and the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research, as well as contract and grant officials at extramural funding agencies, to advance the financial needs of the School and navigate any exceptions to policy that may arise.

An employee assigned to this classification is responsible for all activities and operations of the transportation planning, concurrency and impact fee code division including the evaluation of the transportation impact of proposed development, fee determination, exemptions, collections, encumbrances, and reporting. Coordinates planning for future multi-modal transportation infrastructure projects, transit service and capital with the Florida Department of Transportation, City of Gainesville, Metropolitan Transportation Planning Organization, the Regional Transit System and local municipalities in Alachua County. Coordinates bicycle and pedestrian events and activities with the Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Board, the University of Florida and Santa Fe College. Works with Finance and Accounting, the Office of Management and Budget and the Public Works Department on updates to the Capital Improvements Plan and the annual update of the Capital Improvements Element. Manages the Geographic Information System Division and ensures coordination of Geographic Information System activities within County Departments and Divisions. Reviews and analyzes amendments to determine consistency and statutory compliance; reviews and comments on site plans and development proposals for compliance and impact of development on the local infrastructure. Analyzes data and develops projections for future conditions and needs of the population and public facilities. Attends meeting, conducts research and makes presentations as staff liaison to the Board of County Commissioners appointed advisory committees including the Development Review Committee. Provides reports and presentations to the County Commission describing fees collected, encumbered and used, and proposed capital improvement programs for each impact fee category; makes presentations to other members of the Department, Administration, and to elected and appointed officials and citizens dealing with factual information and predetermined policy recommendations. Interprets and implements all provisions of the Multi-Modal Transportation Mitigation Program and Development Impact Fees Code & Ordinances in order to provide general administration of all mitigation and fees enacted by Alachua County. Determines applicable or equivalent types of land uses and assesses the appropriate impact fees based on fee schedule. Interprets mitigation and impact fee schedules as applied to particular development using procedures described in the multi-modal transportation mitigation ordinance and the impact fee code & ordinances. Conducts pre-application meetings with applicants and staff. Reviews individual mitigation and fee determination studies for sufficiency, methodology, technical accuracy and findings in order to establish fees under given procedures. Determines exemptions from or credit applied to requirements to pay multi-modal transportation mitigation and impact fees. Directs the establishment and implementation of all Standard Operating Procedures in the Alachua County Development Multi-Modal Transportation Mitigation Ordinance and Impact Fee Code and applicable ordinances. Confers with the public on matters concerning mitigation and impact fee assessments, both in individual and group settings, including making formal presentations to groups of citizens. Compiles data, inventory, and tracking of the county's multi-modal transportation mitigation and development impact fees. Researches applicable federal, state, and local planning/regulatory literature to be used in the formulation of the Comprehensive Plan policy, the Uniform Land Development Code, Multi-Modal Transportation Mitigation and Impact Fee requirements. Operates, as required, motor vehicles (including departmental motor vehicles) in order to conduct inspections, and investigations to obtain data for use in determining code compliance with multi-modal transportation mitigation and development impact fee requirements, attending meetings, and site visits. GENERAL PURPOSE :
With minimum direction and considerable latitude for independent judgment, acts as principal assistant to the Director and secondary assistant to the Co-Director of the Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI). Directly provides routine and non-routine support and problem-solving as needed. Must understand University and CTSI policies and procedures, analyze information and situations, and make judgments to facilitate outcomes. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Operations:
In support of the Director optimizes a demanding and complex executive calendar through sound judgement based on the full range of commitments, obligations and initiatives, while avoiding over-commitment. Troubleshoots and resolves scheduling conflicts. Anticipates needs and relays the Director’s instructions, preferences, concerns, etc. Makes recommendations on these items and serves as a liaison to assure the information is relayed appropriately. Interacts with faculty members, other administrative staff, University officials, and community contacts; representing the Director in relaying instructions, decisions, or concerns. Evaluates, reviews and obtains background information on requests for action, referring them, when appropriate, to other administrative staff for their attention and/or by responding directly. Undertakes special projects as they may arise. With minimal direction, responds to emails; creates, reviews, and edits draft letters and written reports; prepares confidential, routine and non-routine correspondence and maintains electronic filing and office records; coordinates with the CTSI Finance Team and records and approves changes to department or sponsored projects on behalf of the Director. Co-Director Support:

Directs CTSI administrative activities for the Co-Director including coordinating and scheduling meetings and travel, conferences and events, arranging venues, logistics, and procuring necessary materials with respect to CTSI responsibilities. Assists with presentation, report and document preparation, as well as communications via print, email, or other methods for various audiences including faculty, staff, students, senior leadership and donors.
Planning:

Document Preparation:
Assists the Director in wordsmithing and editing for book, journal reviews and manuscript submissions relating to research activities, and provides support for biosketch review. Creates, reviews and edits communications for flow of content, consistencies, accuracy, and compliance with various standards. Finalizes changes in text and graphics; formats documents for various scientific and medical journals. Creates, acquires, prints and distributes documents in PDF format. Maintains Biosketch, CV, NCBI Bibliography, Other Support, publication log and correspondence files; prepares presentations and lecture material for Director. Compiles data and analyzes and prepares reports. Assists with the creation of PowerPoint presentations and supporting documents for conferences and meetings.

Provides administrative support to specified programs, projects and activities, as delegated by CTSI leadership.

GENERAL PURPOSE :
With minimum direction and considerable latitude for independent judgment, acts as principal assistant to the Director and secondary assistant to the Co-Director of the Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI). Directly provides routine and non-routine support and problem-solving as needed. The individual in this position must be able to prioritize work with minimal supervision and exercise independent judgment. Must understand University and CTSI policies and procedures, analyze information and situations, and make judgments to facilitate outcomes. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Operations:
In support of the Director optimizes a demanding and complex executive calendar through sound judgement based on the full range of commitments, obligations and initiatives, while avoiding over-commitment. Troubleshoots and resolves scheduling conflicts. Anticipates needs and relays the Director’s instructions, preferences, concerns, etc. Makes recommendations on these items and serves as a liaison to assure the information is relayed appropriately. Interacts with faculty members, other administrative staff, University officials, and community contacts; representing the Director in relaying instructions, decisions, or concerns. Evaluates, reviews and obtains background information on requests for action, referring them, when appropriate, to other administrative staff for their attention and/or by responding directly. Undertakes special projects as they may arise. With minimal direction, responds to emails; creates, reviews, and edits draft letters and written reports; prepares confidential, routine and non-routine correspondence and maintains electronic filing and office records; coordinates with the CTSI Finance Team and records and approves changes to department or sponsored projects on behalf of the Director. Maintains and updates SOP for supporting the CTSI Director on a regular basis.
Plans and makes all calendar and administrative arrangements. Chooses or recommends among competing demands for time. Receives mail and telephone calls on behalf of the Director. Screens, analyzes, prioritizes, and responds to all items as appropriate.
Directs, plans and coordinates meetings with others internally and externally, including arranging for meeting facilities and equipment. Troubleshoots technology issues as they arise to support meeting success. Arranges special events, and candidate and guest speaker visits. Coordinates, publishes and distributes itineraries and seminar notices. Greets and assists visitors and speakers.
Supports the monthly CRRPIT, monthly Strategic Leadership Group and quarterly Clinical Chairs Research Group meetings by scheduling meetings, managing agenda items, and taking meeting notes.
Co-Director Support:
In support of the CTSI Co-Director role, in concert with the Co-Director’s departmental support, optimizes a demanding and complex executive calendar through sound judgement based on the full range of commitments, obligations and initiatives, while avoiding over-commitment. Troubleshoots and resolves scheduling conflicts. Directs CTSI administrative activities for the Co-Director including coordinating and scheduling meetings and travel, conferences and events, arranging venues, logistics, and procuring necessary materials with respect to CTSI responsibilities. Assists with presentation, report and document preparation, as well as communications via print, email, or other methods for various audiences including faculty, staff, students, senior leadership and donors.
Planning:
Makes travel arrangements as needed for the Director, and internal and external faculty, guests and staff. Processes expense reimbursements. Prepares itineraries.
Document Preparation:
Assists the Director in wordsmithing and editing for book, journal reviews and manuscript submissions relating to research activities, and provides support for biosketch review. Creates, reviews and edits communications for flow of content, consistencies, accuracy, and compliance with various standards. Finalizes changes in text and graphics; formats documents for various scientific and medical journals. Creates, acquires, prints and distributes documents in PDF format. Maintains Biosketch, CV, NCBI Bibliography, Other Support, publication log and correspondence files; prepares presentations and lecture material for Director. Compiles data and analyzes and prepares reports. Assists with the creation of PowerPoint presentations and supporting documents for conferences and meetings.
General CTSI Administrative Duties:
Provides administrative support to specified programs, projects and activities, as delegated by CTSI leadership.
Manages CTSI faculty appointment processes, interfacing with the Office of Academic Affairs. Provides support for quarterly CTSI Faculty meetings by scheduling, managing agenda items, and taking meeting notes.
Other projects as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
Degree in Business or related field required.
One year of professional administrative experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Prefer 2-4 years of experience in an academic setting and experience in providing executive-level support preferred.
