Establishes an effective and engaging classroom culture focused on age-appropriate learning outcomes
Provides for the effective education of students with an emphasis on personal success, fair play, and personal health
Develops and implements well-planned lessons that incorporate a wide range of activities with clear learning outcomes and opportunities for student leadership
Utilizes a variety of teaching strategies to target developmental physical skills.
Utilizes a variety of assessment and evaluation strategies
Enthusiastically engages in professional development while staying aware of current educational research and best practices
Strives for innovation in education and actively seeks opportunities to integrate subject matter area across disciplines
Communicates effectively, providing timely feedback to students and families

Qualifications
Required Education & Experience:
A Bachelor’s Degree, with an emphasis in early childhood, elementary and/or middle school education, with Physical Education endorsement, expertise or related areas from a four-year college or university required
Certification in the field of Physical Education or related areas preferred
3+ years of combined teaching experience preferred
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Familiarity with current learning theories and basic principles of human growth and development and ability to consider them in the design and implementation of learning experiences
Knowledge of current trends and research in learning and assessment
Ability to manage the non-instructional human dynamics in the educational setting
Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of the children and program
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work efficiently in a Windows based environment that values educational technology
Ability to maintain confidential information
Ability to work collaboratively in team situations
Ability to work outside in all weather

Under the general direction of the Associate Director for Slug Support, the Slug Support Case Manager for Graduate Students serves as the nexus of information and integration for the campus' response to graduate students and international students experiencing varying degrees of need and/or distress. 70% - Student Advocacy and Coordination of Responses to Students in Distress
• Provides direct student support in meeting with students to assess and provide assistance regarding distressing and sensitive situations they may be navigating. • Manages graduate and international students of concern cases that require gathering information, developing recommendations for response and taking the initiative to mobilize appropriate responses and/or services. • Provides information to the student and student's family (as appropriate) and conveys information to other units including Counseling and Psychological Services, Academic Advisers, • Graduate departments, International Student & Scholar Services, Faculty, Residential Services, Resource Centers, Campus Police, and other campus entities, ensuring that appropriate resources are available and post-intervention strategies are mobilized on behalf of the student and the campus community. • Provides administrative interface, coordinating with various campus partners to ensure coherent integration of campus and community resources for individual students who face challenges with academic, health, conduct, substance abuse, financial, and social issues.
15% - Distress Student Consultation
• In consultation and collaboration with units across the University, serves as a point of contact for members of the campus community who are concerned about a graduate or international student. • Consults with other departments on student cases. • Connects students to resources and offices across campus such as Counseling and Psychological Services, Academic Advising, and Residential Life, among others, develop action plans, and follow up with students, staff, and faculty as appropriate. • Serves as an active member of the UC System-wide Case Management Team as well as the Systemwide Graduate Student Case Management team. • Responds to inquiries about distressed students from faculty, staff, students, and parents/family members. • Provides information and resources to appropriate campus services. • Activates the Slug Support team for high-level and high-risk incidents as needed. • Provides information and training for the Graduate, department staff, and community, including consulting about students who may need support as well as providing general information about Slug Support during Orientation and other key events. • Works directly with students referred by the Graduate Division to help resolve complex situations and advocate on their behalf.
10% - Partnership Building
• Develops and fosters relationships with key campus partners such as the International Student & Scholar Services, the graduate division, graduate departments, and the Graduate Student Association to better serve graduate students and develop best practices for supporting their unique needs. • Serves as a member of the Graduate Student of Concern working group to discuss specific students of concern and larger issues impacting the graduate student community, and to develop resources and solutions.
5% - Outreach and Education
• Works collaboratively with Counseling and Psychological Services and other campus units and departments on the provision of campus-wide training and programs as well as publications regarding responding to graduate students in distress or who are experiencing basic need insecurities. • Develops and delivers specialized curriculum and training programs as requested by campus departments regarding responding to students in distress, and educational workshops about Dean of Students services and programs. • Works with a broad cross-section of campus departments (e.g., Orientation Programs, Wellness Programs, Disability Resource Centers, Resource Centers, Counseling and Psychological Services, Graduate Departments, and Residential Services to develop and implement marketing campaigns for the campus's student mental health messages and information, with particular attention to educating students on their role in the well-being of fellow students.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's Degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training. • Demonstrated experience in crisis management, crisis intervention, and case management with college students and emerging adults. • Broad knowledge of health care, mental health care, crisis management, and services. • Provides direct student support in meeting with students to assess and provide assistance regarding distressing and sensitive situations they may be navigating. • Manages graduate and international students of concern cases that require gathering information, developing recommendations for response and taking the initiative to mobilize appropriate responses and/or services. • Provides information to the student and student's family (as appropriate) and conveys information to other units including Counseling and Psychological Services, Academic Advisers, • Graduate departments, International Student & Scholar Services, Faculty, Residential Services, Resource Centers, Campus Police, and other campus entities, ensuring that appropriate resources are available and post-intervention strategies are mobilized on behalf of the student and the campus community. • Provides administrative interface, coordinating with various campus partners to ensure coherent integration of campus and community resources for individual students who face challenges with academic, health, conduct, substance abuse, financial, and social issues.
15% - Distress Student Consultation
• In consultation and collaboration with units across the University, serves as a point of contact for members of the campus community who are concerned about a graduate or international student. • Consults with other departments on student cases. • Connects students to resources and offices across campus such as Counseling and Psychological Services, Academic Advising, and Residential Life, among others, develop action plans, and follow up with students, staff, and faculty as appropriate. • Serves as an active member of the UC System-wide Case Management Team as well as the Systemwide Graduate Student Case Management team. • Responds to inquiries about distressed students from faculty, staff, students, and parents/family members. • Provides information and resources to appropriate campus services. • Activates the Slug Support team for high-level and high-risk incidents as needed. • Provides information and training for the Graduate, department staff, and community, including consulting about students who may need support as well as providing general information about Slug Support during Orientation and other key events. • Works directly with students referred by the Graduate Division to help resolve complex situations and advocate on their behalf.
10% - Partnership Building
• Develops and fosters relationships with key campus partners such as the International Student & Scholar Services, the graduate division, graduate departments, and the Graduate Student Association to better serve graduate students and develop best practices for supporting their unique needs. • Serves as a member of the Graduate Student of Concern working group to discuss specific students of concern and larger issues impacting the graduate student community, and to develop resources and solutions.
5% - Outreach and Education
• Works collaboratively with Counseling and Psychological Services and other campus units and departments on the provision of campus-wide training and programs as well as publications regarding responding to graduate students in distress or who are experiencing basic need insecurities. • Develops and delivers specialized curriculum and training programs as requested by campus departments regarding responding to students in distress, and educational workshops about Dean of Students services and programs. • Works with a broad cross-section of campus departments (e.g., Orientation Programs, Wellness Programs, Disability Resource Centers, Resource Centers, Counseling and Psychological Services, Graduate Departments, and Residential Services to develop and implement marketing campaigns for the campus's student mental health messages and information, with particular attention to educating students on their role in the well-being of fellow students.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's Degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training. • Demonstrated experience in crisis management, crisis intervention, and case management with college students and emerging adults. • Broad knowledge of health care, mental health care, crisis management, and services. The Bioinformatics Center at the University of Nevada, Reno is seeking to hire a Postdoctoral Scholar to join our team, available immediately. As the center is growing and expanding to support a variety of omics and data research, we are actively seeking a talented postdoctoral fellow, who is interested in bioinformatics, data science, genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, multi-omics and/or related fields, to join our team and help us expand our supported services and research fields. The postdoctoral fellow will assist on selected ongoing projects and is encouraged to learn cutting-edge technologies and to explore new research areas. Applications to NIH/NSF grants and fellowships will be highly encouraged. The center supports a variety of career paths and as such the postdoctoral fellow will be mentored by at least two faculty, the director of the center and one academic tenure-track faculty.
The postdoctoral fellow will work on high-dimensional multi-omics data sets, for example WGS, WES, RNA-seq, scRNA-seq, proteomics and /or metagenomics. They will work closely with experimental life scientists for example to develop tools and analyze genomic (e.g., RNA-Seq, ChIP-seq, scRNA-seq) and epigenetic (PTM and DNA methylation) data using novel and previously published NGS datasets. As a team, the center performs integrated multi-omics, statistical, data science, and bioinformatics analyses applied to a variety of scientific problems. The postdoctoral fellow will have access to training opportunities.
The postdoctoral fellow is expected to perform bioinformatics related research and develop analysis pipelines and relevant software programs in collaboration and under the supervision of the center's director and an academic faculty mentor. The postdoc fellow is expected to publish their research outcomes and to help other researchers in preparing manuscripts. They will be encouraged to improve their teaching skills by developing and providing workshops for undergraduate and graduate students as well as for research faculty.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to excellence in research, teaching, and mentoring conducted in a dynamic academic core environment.
Required Qualifications
• Ph.D. in bioinformatics, data science, computational sciences, statistics or a related field.
• 3+ years of Python or R programming experience.
• Experience in bash/shell scripting and Linux environment (Ubuntu), applied statistics, high-dimensional omics data analytics for at least one type of omics.
• Excellent writing skills and independent and critical thinking ability.
• Completion of a doctoral degree in the appropriate discipline is required.
• The doctoral degree must have been completed within the five years immediately preceding the first date of appointment as a postdoctoral fellow at the University.
• The individual cannot have held previous positions in the professional ranks.

Job Description The Assistant Manager, NSO Individual Giving, assists the Director of NSO Operations and Stewardship in the management and long-term development of the NSO National Trustees (donors $15,000+) and designated, programmatic giving campaigns, including research, cultivation, acquisition, stewardship, and ongoing maintenance for both restricted and unrestricted contributions. This position holds a donor portfolio comprising NSO National Trustees and other mid- and major gifts donors and prospects supporting specific program areas. Additionally, this position ensures the implementation of engagement activities around programmatic activity and maintains accurate revenue and expense budget projections. The incumbent serves as a development liaison and assists with and manages other special initiatives and events as necessary. Position Summary
The Human Resources Manager will provide essential human resources management within the PAST shared services team and PAST partner units. This position will support and facilitate effective communication, excellent standards of workplace conduct, and interpersonal problem-solving with high levels of confidentiality, sensitivity, and cultural awareness for approximately 1500 employees. This position is expected to use diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility frameworks in every part of their responsibilities.

Department Summary
Administrative Services oversees multiple business hubs and shared service organizations throughout the University. Located within the Finance and Administration portfolio, the objective of the division is to provide efficient, strategic and specialized administrative services to support the missions of various departments, schools and colleges at the University of Oregon. Administrative Services focuses on department-specific budget, finance, payroll, human resources, and procure-to-pay functions as well as specialized physical security and utility technologies. As one of the shared services hubs in Administrative Services, the Provost's Administrative Services Team (PAST) provides business and administrative services for Partner Units in the Office of the Provost (OtP) portfolio. PAST partner units include the Division of Global Engagement; Division of Graduate Studies; Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art; Museum of Natural and Cultural History; Undergraduate Education and Student Success; and University Libraries. The units supported by PAST constitute a large business enterprise consisting of more than 1,500 employees and total operating expenditures of more than $73.5 million, all funds. Position Summary
The Human Resources Manager will provide essential human resources management within the PAST shared services team and PAST partner units. This position will support and facilitate effective communication, excellent standards of workplace conduct, and interpersonal problem-solving with high levels of confidentiality, sensitivity, and cultural awareness for approximately 1500 employees. This position is expected to use diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility frameworks in every part of their responsibilities.
Within the PAST portfolio, the HR Manager's responsibilities will include overseeing and managing onboarding and offboarding activities, coordinating the performance evaluation process, as well as maintaining and tracking the student hire process. They will manage projects for PAST HR strategic initiatives and responsibilities, plan and execute administrative processes, and recommend and implement process improvements. This position will support recruitment and the hiring process, helping to ensure diverse and robust candidate pools.
This position regularly exercises independent judgment and develops unit procedures involving personnel and office staffing resources. In addition, they interpret and apply the appropriate policies, procedures, rules, and regulations to ensure compliance with all applicable entities.
The HR Manager reports to the Associate Director of PAST HR, and will be a key support to the Associate Director in process management, performance evaluations, promotions, student hires, and recruitment. The HR Manager will supervise a team of 2-3 HR Coordinators who support HR processes across the PAST portfolio.
Minimum Requirements
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and skills.
• Three years experience as a human resources professional in a large, complex organization including any of the following: personnel and pay actions, HRIS data management, recruiting, job analysis, job description development and/or classification and compensation.

Client Services (60%)
Oversee the development and implementation of high-quality integrated communications, earned and shared media, and outreach plans with effective short- and long-term strategies to support clients’ objectives and increase campaign visibility. Required Qualifications:
• A minimum of 15 years of progressively responsible HR experience and a bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

• Broad business process transformation experience, including previous success at leading change, driving execution and adoption of strategic programs and innovative business processes across large teams in complex organizations.
