The City of Portland seeks a Legal Assistant. This position performs specialized legal assistance and administrative support work within the Office of the City Attorney. Legal Assistants are responsible for all legal administrative support to litigation and non-litigation attorneys. Work includes the rapid and accurate typing of court documents, contracts, correspondence and preparation of other legal documents; maintaining court calendars and files and performing complex office support tasks requiring advanced administrative skills and knowledge of legal theories and terminology
