Job Description



The Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, the premier academic medicine IVF program in Chicago, is seeking applicants for a full-time, non-tenure eligible Clinician-Educator Psychologist at the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor to join their psychological services team. The psychologists see all new IVF couples, patients undergoing third party reproduction (oocyte donor, sperm donation and gestational carrier), patients undergoing fertility preservation, and patients and couples requiring ongoing psychological counseling.  The psychologists are part of the multidisciplinary treatment team in the fertility and reproductive medicine program.

In addition to providing direct clinical care, the psychologist will be expected to expand upon the Division’s active program of research studying the psychological aspects of infertility.  As a member of the Northwestern Feinberg School of Medicine faculty, the psychologist will also be expected to contribute to the educational mission of the institution by providing instruction to medical students and other trainees.

Qualified candidates will be licensed clinical psychologists with a Ph.D. from an APA approved graduate program and APA approved internship.  The applicant should also have a background in health psychology, or specifically, women’s health psychology and have clinical research experience in women’s health or infertility related area.
