SANDAG’s Office of the Independent Performance Auditor
On January 1, 2018, a new California Assembly Bill (AB 805) required the creation of the Audit Committee and an Independent Performance Auditor (IPA) position. The IPA leads the Office of the Independent Performance Auditor (OIPA) and has the authority to conduct performance audits of all departments, offices, boards, activities, and programs of the agency. OIPA is currently a 10-person independent, oversight function expected to grow to 12 positions by fiscal year 2027. Performance audits are conducted in compliance with Generally Accepted Government auditing standards (GAGAS). Role
The Manager of Business Administration and Operations is a key leadership role within OIPA, responsible for driving the agency’s core administrative, operational, and communications functions. Reporting directly to the Independent Performance Auditor (IPA), this position ensures the smooth and strategic execution of OIPA’s internal systems and external messaging. With oversight of everything from budgeting and contracts to human resources, office management, and media relations, the Manager will play a critical role in aligning day-to-day operations with long-term goals. This role also serves as a strategic advisor and trusted liaison to executive leadership, the Audit Committee, the Board of Directors, and other key stakeholders, helping to shape the future of a growing, high-impact oversight agency.
Typical Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in public or business administration, or a related field. A master’s degree is highly desirable.
Seven years of increasingly responsible professional experience in the areas of administration, business operations and strategic communications. At least two of these years must have been at the supervisory level.
Executive office management experience is desirable, including direct experience supporting an executive in a fast-paced, professional office environment and balancing multiple projects and deadlines.
Experience developing, delivering and leading comprehensive administrative and business services programs in areas such as budget management, contracts management, office management, records management, financial management and human resources management, preferably for a public agency.
Outstanding written and oral presentation skills and the ability to effectively communicate to a variety of audiences; excellent report writing skills including the ability to prepare clear and concise content and impactful report presentations using charts and graphics.

The University of Nevada, Reno is seeking a Specialist, Marketing Communications to join the School of Public Health (SPH). This role is responsible for developing and executing marketing and communications plans that align with the strategic goals of SPH and its affiliated Schools and Centers. The Specialist will manage web, communications, print materials, and other marketing services, acting as a liaison between the School of Public Health and various University units.
Working closely with the University's Office of Marketing and Communications, the Specialist will ensure that all initiatives support the University's overall marketing strategy and priorities. While the role is a collaborative partnership between SPH and the Office of Marketing & Communications, the Specialist will report directly to the Assistant Dean, External Relations and Advancement of the School of Public Health.

Job Description
The University of Nevada, Reno has an amazing opportunity for an experienced Communications Officer for our newly developed "Nevada Lithium Batteries and Other EV Materials Loop" Regional Technology and Innovation Hub ("Nevada Tech Hub"). Reporting to the Regional Innovation Officer (RIO), this position has an integral role in the success of the Nevada Tech Hub to advance both the Tech Hub and the University's strategic priorities. The Tech Hub Communications Officer will be in recurring communication with national, regional and local media; serve as a spokesperson for Nevada Tech Hub; update the Nevada Tech Hub website; provide issue management support; and direct and implement a social media strategy. Through these efforts, the Tech Hub Communications Officer also provides communication counsel and media interview coaching to the RIO and the others in the Nevada Tech Hub team. The Communications Officer works closely with and follows the direction set by the University's Office of Marketing and Communication to align with the overall strategy, priorities and brand standards of the University. The position functions as a partnership between the Nevada Tech Hub and the Office of Marketing and Communications, but reports directly to RIO.

Job Description
The University of Nevada, Reno has an amazing opportunity for an experienced Communications Officer for our newly developed "Nevada Lithium Batteries and Other EV Materials Loop" Regional Technology and Innovation Hub ("Nevada Tech Hub"). Reporting to the Regional Innovation Officer (RIO), this position has an integral role in the success of the Nevada Tech Hub to advance both the Tech Hub and the University's strategic priorities. The Tech Hub Communications Officer will be in recurring communication with national, regional and local media; serve as a spokesperson for Nevada Tech Hub; update the Nevada Tech Hub website; provide issue management support; and direct and implement a social media strategy. Through these efforts, the Tech Hub Communications Officer also provides communication counsel and media interview coaching to the RIO and the others in the Nevada Tech Hub team. The Communications Officer works closely with and follows the direction set by the University's Office of Marketing and Communication to align with the overall strategy, priorities and brand standards of the University. The position functions as a partnership between the Nevada Tech Hub and the Office of Marketing and Communications, but reports directly to RIO.

Required : Your responses to the Online Assessment Questionnaire. Required: Your complete and comprehensive resume that includes a complete history of your work experience and the applicable employment dates with months and years. It is recommended that your resume include thetitle, series, and grade (e.g. SK-0301-12) for all relevant Federal experience . To determine if you qualify for this position, OHR will review your work history that is relevant to the specific position for which you applied. If you are a current SEC employee selected for this position, the standard percentage increases will be applied (i.e., 6% for non-supervisory and 10% for supervisory positions) if your selection results in a promotion. If your selection results in lateral movement (i.e. no change in grade) you will maintain your current salary.
