Uses skills as a seasoned, experienced sales professional to lead a full range of sales and outreach activities for The Lawrence Hall of Science and its educational programs. Develops and implements strategic promotional efforts, outreach plans, and enrollment strategies to increase participation in museum visits, mobile science education programs, summer camps, teen research programs, and free access initiatives. Works closely with marketing, education, and operations teams to ensure aligned messaging and seamless customer experiences. Responsibilities
Program Sales & Outreach:
• Promote and sell The Lawrence Hall of Science and its educational programs to school administrators, teachers, community organizations, and families. • Develop and maintain an annual sales plan to meet participation and revenue goals across all program areas: museum visits and add-ons, mobile science programs, summer camps, teen research programs, and more. • Identify and pursue new leads through cold outreach, existing contacts, event attendance, and referrals. • Cultivate long-term relationships with school districts, educational partners, and parent communities. • Support the growth of museum visitation by promoting and managing free admission programs and access partnerships, with a focus on increasing participation among underrepresented groups.
Pipeline & Booking Management:
• Manage the full sales lifecycle, from lead generation through booking and follow-up. • Track all sales activities in the CRM system, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records. • Monitor program capacities and coordinate with internal teams to ensure availability aligns with sales efforts. • Maintain high levels of customer service throughout the inquiry and booking process.
Marketing & Communication Collaboration
• Partner closely with the Marketing team to align messaging, campaign timelines, and audience targeting strategies. • Provide input on marketing content to ensure it reflects customer needs, program features, and messaging • Coordinate input from product owners in alignment with seasons and annual planning cycles (e.g., school year calendars, summer camp enrollment windows). • Share customer insights and feedback with Marketing to inform materials such as brochures, email campaigns, digital ads, and social media content. • Support the development of outreach campaigns by identifying priority segments and suggesting effective communication channels. • Help evaluate the effectiveness of campaigns by reporting on lead conversion rates and customer response trends.
Evaluation and Strategy:
• Analyze participation and sales data to identify trends and opportunities. • Set measurable sales and outreach goals; identify and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs); and provide regular, transparent reporting to internal stakeholders to inform decision-making and track progress. • Contribute insights to improve program offerings based on customer feedback and market demand.

Required Qualifications

Department Profile Service excellence is at the core of the Institutional Effectiveness, Research, Planning, and Grants (IERPG) office at Cerritos College. IERPG provides timely and trustworthy data to all campus constituents at the same time it gives these stakeholders counsel in data-driven planning and decision making. IERPG also serves as the nexus for municipal, state, and federal reporting for the college, relying on its analysts to ensure the integrity of reporting, understand the business processes that make up the data, and articulate the importance of those reports to the campus community. In addition, IERPG acts as a resource for developing grants through external funding opportunities at Cerritos College.
Summary Under the direction and supervision of the Dean of Institutional Effectiveness, Research, Planning, and Grants, the Grants Manager is responsible for overseeing grants by managing their development, writing, submission, coordination, and award processes. The Grants Manager oversees federal and state grants as well as other grants. The work culture is dynamic and fast-paced, requiring multitasking skills and meticulous oversight of federal and state budgets. The Grants Manager identifies and prioritizes institutional needs and plans, organizes and develops competitive proposals for District-wide grants and other grant development activities by seeking out potential funding sources and resource opportunities that align with institutional priorities and initiatives. The Grants Manager ensures that all financial aspects - from budget allocation to expenditure tracking - are managed effectively and in compliance with federal and state funding guidelines.

Job Duties
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Conducts research and identifies potential federal, state, private, and non-profit funding sources that align with the District's goals and priorities. Make recommendations on whether funding sources are a good match for campus projects, programs, and/or initiatives. • Ensures the synthesis of key information from Requests for Applications (RFA) and/or other application opportunities. Provides District personnel with supportive grant-related documentation including RFA summaries and grant outline templates. • Develops, writes, and submits grant proposals and application forms in accordance with funding opportunities and in collaboration with District's content experts. • Creates accurate, compliant budgets for grant proposals and ensures that proposed activities are allowable within District policies and procedures as well as compliant with state and federal regulations. • Establishes grant development timelines and coordinates with District personnel for timely development of project designs and relevant budgets. Ensure deadlines are met by establishing priorities and a calendar of grant development and management activities. • Reviews and/or approves revenues and expenditures and project status to ensure proper expenditures of grant funds. • Provide technical and resource assistance to District faculty, staff, management, and/or administrators on grant activities. • Maintains collaborative relationships with internal departments (i.e., Fiscal, Purchasing, Facilities, and Human Resources) relevant to grant development and implementation to ensure internal review processes are followed and completed in a timely manner. Maintains collaborative relationship with Cerritos College's Foundation to facilitate maximal funding opportunities. • Provides information on institutional grants by communicating compliance requirements for grant terms and conditions. • Assists and orients assigned project directors on grant terms and conditions. Minimum Qualifications

This is a full-time faculty position with an emphasis in teaching reading and writing in Spanish. We offer courses in developmental/college prep reading and writing, college composition, occupational writing, technical writing, creative writing, digital storytelling, literature, film, and publishing. We also staff the Writing Center, host an annual creative writing conference called Compose, and publish the Clackamas Literary Review .

Duties & Responsibilities:
This is a full-time faculty position with an emphasis in teaching reading and writing in Spanish. The faculty would serve as lead instructor for Spanish-language pre-college and college-level composition courses offered by the English department for Spanish-language programs (known as related instruction), liaise with Spanish-language program leads across the college, and provide support for Spanish writing placement and tutors. The instructor would also teach writing courses in English and could bring competence and passion for teaching courses in literature, creative writing, and/or publishing. The instructor would be expected to teach in multiple modalities, and at different times of the day and evening.

• Ability to develop course materials, instruct, and support students in both Spanish and English
Preferred Qualifications:
• Community college teaching experience within the past five years
• Experience teaching pre-college or college-level reading and writing and/or GED courses in Spanish
• Experience teaching publishing, creative writing, and/or literature with a focus on decolonizing the syllabus
Core Competencies:
• Demonstrable ability to prepare and deliver pre-college level and college-level reading and writing curriculum in Spanish
• Demonstrable experience teaching pre-college reading and writing and/or college-level composition courses
• Demonstrable experience teaching across a range of modalities, including in-person, hybrid, and online
• Demonstrable experience and interest in working specifically with community college students, including familiarity with current CC student populations: recent high school graduates, first-generation students, and returning adult learners
• Demonstrable experience working with students who have historically been excluded or underserved by higher education • Demonstrable ability or desire to collaborate with colleagues, to engage in the life of the College, and to impart positive change
