Overview of the Department
The Mega Projects, Border and Goods Movement Department focuses on delivering complex infrastructure and technology projects in the San Diego region, as well as delivering projects that focus on goods movement and border connectivity. Some of these projects include the SR 11/Otay Mesa East Port of Entry (OME POE), the LOSSAN Rail Realignment, the Harbor Drive 2.0/Vesta Street Bridge and the Back Office System.
Role
Under the direction of the Border Region Delivery Manager, the Senior Project Manager, Border Region will play an integral role in the coordination and project delivery of several complex interrelated projects for the OME POE to ensure on-time completion of deliverables and outputs that support this binational, multimodal border crossing. Reporting to the Program Manager, the Senior Project Manager will also focus on managing cross-border projects in the California-Baja California region, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring successful project delivery within scope, schedule, and budget.
This position will be filled as a Senior Regional Planner or Senior Engineer, depending on experience.
Typical Qualifications
The minimum education, training, and experience qualifications for the Senior Regional Planner include a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, with major course work in urban, regional, transportation or environmental planning, geography, business, public administration, public policy, or a related field.
At least five years of increasingly responsible, professional regional, transportation, or environmental planning experience, including some lead or supervisory experience, along with project management experience.
Proven experience managing projects, ensuring alignment with program objectives, timelines, and budgets, with a track record of successfully delivering projects on schedule and within financial constraints. Preference for managing border region projects.
Strong background in coordinating technical activities related to project development, including planning, design, environmental clearance, permitting, and construction contract award, in compliance with relevant regulations.
Experience and Qualifications if Filled as a Senior Engineer

The Portland Clean Energy Community Benefits Fund (PCEF) team at the Bureau of Planning and Sustainability (BPS) is seeking a contract and grant management professional to support the implementation of PCEF grant programs and contracts. Position Summary
The Portland Clean Energy Community Benefits Fund (PCEF) team at the Bureau of Planning and Sustainability (BPS) is seeking a contract and grant management professional to support the implementation of PCEF grant programs and contracts. WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR The Department of Environmental Protection is seeking an experienced Program Specialist II to assist with the development and implementation of an efficient inspection program as well as conducting inspections and other in-field activities for the Tree Montgomery shade tree planting program. This tree planting program is consistent with the goals of the Montgomery County Tree Canopy Law , the MS4 permit , and the Climate Action Plan.
The ideal candidate will have considerable knowledge of shade trees, planting and establishing young trees, and evaluating growing conditions for trees, as well as experience in providing guidance to property owners and contractors to improve tree survival, identifying and correcting issues with newly installed trees, and understanding maps and development plans.
The successful candidate will have the ability to convey technical information regarding trees and build strong relationships to assist people equitably, effectively, and tactfully as well as work in a collaborative environment within a large organization with multiple priorities.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING This position will be responsible for implementing an efficient inspection program, as well as identifying and carrying out a range of field adjustments to enhance the long-term survival of newly planted trees. Activities will center on working with other Tree Montgomery staff, applicants to the Tree Montgomery program, and planting contractors and their in-field crews to help meet program goals by inspecting newly planted trees, reporting outcomes, identifying solutions, and working with all stakeholders to implement adjustments. This position will also assist with managing data and maps pertaining to applicants, orders, inspections, and invoicing.
Key duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Carrying out most aspects of the inspection program including completing inspections of newly planted shade trees before, during, and after installation.
Monitoring activities of contractors for compliance with contracts and industry standards.
Identifying and approving or completing a range of field adjustments to enhance long-term survival of newly planted trees.
Establishing and maintaining communication with contractor’s field representatives and interacting with participants and stakeholders in the Tree Montgomery program.
Advising staff and program participants of outcomes and needed corrections for trees and working with staff and contractors to identify and implement enhancements to the Tree Montgomery program.
Maintaining up-to-date and accurate information about trees planted by the Tree Montgomery program using databases, spreadsheets, mapping and other electronic systems to fully document orders, plantings, inspections, and invoicing.
Overseeing most aspects of the inspection program for trees reported for credit under the County’s MS4 permit by performing inspections and handling associated tasks to complete required inspections and ensuring compliance with the permit.
Possession of a Maryland Tree Expert license or certification as an arborist by an accredited program is a plus.
Bilingual applicants in the Spanish/English languages are encouraged to apply . If the candidate selected for this position possesses multilingual skills, they will be required to successfully pass an examination assessing oral communication, reading comprehension, and interpreting skills. For Advanced proficiency, the candidate must also pass an examination requiring translating text from Spanish to English and vice versa.
The majority of the work is performed outside and requires considerable daily driving between work sites. This position is subject to some light physical effort. This includes standing or driving for long periods of time, walking long distances over varying terrain and occasional stooping, bending, and reaching. Some activities may occasionally require using hand tools from the ground level including hand pruners, loppers, and carrying small branches removed from newly planted trees. Working outside in most weather conditions is involved.
This position requires possession of a valid driver’s license and the ability to drive a County vehicle to travel in all areas of Montgomery County to perform site visits to evaluate newly installed trees or participating properties for compliance with program requirements and industry standards, inspect contractor plantings, and generally to perform work and attend meetings at locations outside the office. Most of the site visits will be in areas of the County lacking in readily available public transportation.
Occasional evening or weekend work outside of normal business hours may be required.
To ensure a positive workplace and to comply with federal, state and County laws, the incumbent is responsible for completing mandatory trainings within the first three to six months or within the specified timeframe.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Experience: Two (2) years of professional experience in tree planting, tree inspection or evaluation programs, arboriculture, forest technology, forestry, or tree nursery operations. Education: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s Degree. Equivalency: An equivalent combination of education or experience may be substituted. WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR The Department of Environmental Protection is seeking an experienced Program Specialist II to assist with the development and implementation of an efficient inspection program as well as conducting inspections and other in-field activities for the Tree Montgomery shade tree planting program. This tree planting program is consistent with the goals of the Montgomery County Tree Canopy Law , the MS4 permit , and the Climate Action Plan.
The ideal candidate will have considerable knowledge of shade trees, planting and establishing young trees, and evaluating growing conditions for trees, as well as experience in providing guidance to property owners and contractors to improve tree survival, identifying and correcting issues with newly installed trees, and understanding maps and development plans.
The successful candidate will have the ability to convey technical information regarding trees and build strong relationships to assist people equitably, effectively, and tactfully as well as work in a collaborative environment within a large organization with multiple priorities.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING This position will be responsible for implementing an efficient inspection program, as well as identifying and carrying out a range of field adjustments to enhance the long-term survival of newly planted trees. Activities will center on working with other Tree Montgomery staff, applicants to the Tree Montgomery program, and planting contractors and their in-field crews to help meet program goals by inspecting newly planted trees, reporting outcomes, identifying solutions, and working with all stakeholders to implement adjustments. This position will also assist with managing data and maps pertaining to applicants, orders, inspections, and invoicing.
Key duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Carrying out most aspects of the inspection program including completing inspections of newly planted shade trees before, during, and after installation.
Monitoring activities of contractors for compliance with contracts and industry standards.
Identifying and approving or completing a range of field adjustments to enhance long-term survival of newly planted trees.
Establishing and maintaining communication with contractor’s field representatives and interacting with participants and stakeholders in the Tree Montgomery program.
Advising staff and program participants of outcomes and needed corrections for trees and working with staff and contractors to identify and implement enhancements to the Tree Montgomery program.
Maintaining up-to-date and accurate information about trees planted by the Tree Montgomery program using databases, spreadsheets, mapping and other electronic systems to fully document orders, plantings, inspections, and invoicing.
Overseeing most aspects of the inspection program for trees reported for credit under the County’s MS4 permit by performing inspections and handling associated tasks to complete required inspections and ensuring compliance with the permit.
Possession of a Maryland Tree Expert license or certification as an arborist by an accredited program is a plus.
Bilingual applicants in the Spanish/English languages are encouraged to apply . If the candidate selected for this position possesses multilingual skills, they will be required to successfully pass an examination assessing oral communication, reading comprehension, and interpreting skills. For Advanced proficiency, the candidate must also pass an examination requiring translating text from Spanish to English and vice versa.
The majority of the work is performed outside and requires considerable daily driving between work sites. This position is subject to some light physical effort. This includes standing or driving for long periods of time, walking long distances over varying terrain and occasional stooping, bending, and reaching. Some activities may occasionally require using hand tools from the ground level including hand pruners, loppers, and carrying small branches removed from newly planted trees. Working outside in most weather conditions is involved.
This position requires possession of a valid driver’s license and the ability to drive a County vehicle to travel in all areas of Montgomery County to perform site visits to evaluate newly installed trees or participating properties for compliance with program requirements and industry standards, inspect contractor plantings, and generally to perform work and attend meetings at locations outside the office. Most of the site visits will be in areas of the County lacking in readily available public transportation.
Occasional evening or weekend work outside of normal business hours may be required.
To ensure a positive workplace and to comply with federal, state and County laws, the incumbent is responsible for completing mandatory trainings within the first three to six months or within the specified timeframe.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Experience: Two (2) years of professional experience in tree planting, tree inspection or evaluation programs, arboriculture, forest technology, forestry, or tree nursery operations. Education: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s Degree. Equivalency: An equivalent combination of education or experience may be substituted. License: Possession and maintenance at all times of a valid Class “C” (or equivalent) driver’s license from the applicant’s state of residence is required.
PREFERRED CRITERIA, INTERVIEW PREFERENCES All Applicants will be reviewed by the Office of Human Resources (OHR) for minimum qualifications. About DARTS & TLS Data, Access, Research, & Teaching Services (DARTS) is responsible for an array of services and programs to meet the research, teaching, and learning needs of the University of Oregon community. The department of Teaching and Liaison Services (TLS) is located within the larger division of Data, Access, Research and Teaching Services (DARTS) of UO Libraries. Within TLS, librarians are assigned to academic areas to support the teaching and research needs of faculty and students. TLS is led by a director and three head librarians who supervise and guide three broad disciplinary liaison teams: Arts & Humanities, Social Sciences, and the Sciences. TLS librarians are actively engaged in collection development, teaching, outreach, and research support in their respective areas and collaborate often to support the academic needs of the UO community.
Position Summary
Reporting to Director of Teaching & Liaison Services, the Head of the Arts & Humanities Liaisons acts as the leader and supervisor of the arts and humanities librarian team and a liaison to the College of Design academic departments.
As Head, they supervise, mentor, and evaluate 3.0 FTE librarians who are liaisons to the various arts and humanities departments and the School of Music and Dance. Functioning as a subject liaison, they provide teaching, research support, and collection development services for the departments and programs of the College of Design both on the Eugene and Portland campuses. This is an onsite position located in the Design Library on the Eugene campus but will require some travel to the Portland campus.
As Head, they monitor, develop, and assess all aspects of liaison activities for the team including library instruction, research and outreach and collection development. This position functions as the Collection Manager for the Arts and Humanities. This includes regular attendance at collection meetings, developing purchasing strategies, sharing budget information with the liaison team, and coordinating overall selections for the arts and humanities disciplines.
The Head will ensure that the arts and humanities team is actively engaged in all aspects of liaison work. They will support their team in establishing goals and monitor activities which contribute overall to the goals of the Libraries. They will keep their team informed of library and university initiatives and support them through the promotion process.
The Head of the Arts & Humanities Liaisons is professionally active in regional, national, and/or international organizations devoted to the promotion of librarianship and cooperative library interaction; serves on both University and professional organization committees; influences the profession of librarianship beyond the institution and may submit publications for regional, national, or international publications; and participates in appropriate professional development activities and organizations to stay current with trends and practices in the field, and to meet criteria for promotion and retention. About DARTS & TLS Data, Access, Research, & Teaching Services (DARTS) is responsible for an array of services and programs to meet the research, teaching, and learning needs of the University of Oregon community. DARTS encompasses four major areas: Teaching & Liaison Services, Access Services, Research & Learning Spaces, and the Department of Open Research (DOOR). Services provided include the circulation of collections, collection development and maintenance, information literacy instruction, data services, digital publishing, and public scholarship support. The division also oversees branch operations for five library facilities: Design Library, Portland Library, Price Science Commons & Research Library (PSC), Mathematics Library, and the Loyd and Dorothy Rippey Library at the Oregon Institute of Marine Biology. The mission of DARTS is to enhance student success, faculty research, and teaching by facilitating access to information resources and specialized research spaces, building collections, providing innovative engagement activities, delivering information, data, and digital literacy teaching and consultation, and programs that support the adoption of Open Educational Resources (OER) and provision of affordable course materials.
The department of Teaching and Liaison Services (TLS) is located within the larger division of Data, Access, Research and Teaching Services (DARTS) of UO Libraries. Within TLS, librarians are assigned to academic areas to support the teaching and research needs of faculty and students. TLS is led by a director and three head librarians who supervise and guide three broad disciplinary liaison teams: Arts & Humanities, Social Sciences, and the Sciences. TLS librarians are actively engaged in collection development, teaching, outreach, and research support in their respective areas and collaborate often to support the academic needs of the UO community.
Position Summary
Reporting to Director of Teaching & Liaison Services, the Head of the Arts & Humanities Liaisons acts as the leader and supervisor of the arts and humanities librarian team and a liaison to the College of Design academic departments.
As Head, they supervise, mentor, and evaluate 3.0 FTE librarians who are liaisons to the various arts and humanities departments and the School of Music and Dance. Functioning as a subject liaison, they provide teaching, research support, and collection development services for the departments and programs of the College of Design both on the Eugene and Portland campuses. This is an onsite position located in the Design Library on the Eugene campus but will require some travel to the Portland campus.
As Head, they monitor, develop, and assess all aspects of liaison activities for the team including library instruction, research and outreach and collection development. This position functions as the Collection Manager for the Arts and Humanities. This includes regular attendance at collection meetings, developing purchasing strategies, sharing budget information with the liaison team, and coordinating overall selections for the arts and humanities disciplines.
The Head will ensure that the arts and humanities team is actively engaged in all aspects of liaison work. They will support their team in establishing goals and monitor activities which contribute overall to the goals of the Libraries. They will keep their team informed of library and university initiatives and support them through the promotion process.
The Head of the Arts & Humanities Liaisons is professionally active in regional, national, and/or international organizations devoted to the promotion of librarianship and cooperative library interaction; serves on both University and professional organization committees; influences the profession of librarianship beyond the institution and may submit publications for regional, national, or international publications; and participates in appropriate professional development activities and organizations to stay current with trends and practices in the field, and to meet criteria for promotion and retention. This position contributes to the University's goals regarding equity and inclusion.
*This position currently has a $ 10,000-a-year administrative stipend.
Minimum Requirements
Minimum Qualifications - Assistant Librarian:
• Master's degree in Library/Information Science from an ALA-accredited institution or equivalent international terminal degree -OR-
• Terminal degree in a relevant field (e.g., PhD or equivalent, depending on discipline). AND
• At least two years of post-MLIS, post-international, or post-terminal degree working as an academic librarian supporting student research and delivering library instruction
• 1 year supervision experience
Minimum Qualifications - Associate Librarian:

This component of the budget includes the multi-year TransNet Major Corridor and Regional Bikeway Program and other transit and capital improvements. Examples of this work include the LOSSAN Rail Realignment, North Coast Corridor Program, bike infrastructure, and Otay Mesa East Port of Entry projects.
SANDAG’s Capital Project Office is responsible for maintaining the standards of project management by monitoring cost, scope, and schedule for all projects within the agency’s capital program. This includes budget development, resource planning, and scheduling and streamlining project management for over 100 projects, with a multiple year investment of over $9 billion. SANDAG partners with Caltrans, transit operators and local jurisdictions in order to implement these major transit, highway and bikeway projects throughout the region. In addition, the Capital Project Office maintains public accountability by ensuring data quality of the public TransNet Dashboard, an interactive tool which provides in-depth reporting on the progress of TransNet funded Major Corridor projects.

About the Position:
This role is an on-campus, in-person position.
The Assistant Director provides career and professional development education for SMU students and alumni through counseling appointments, workshops, and presentations. They manage individual appointments through various mediums to advise, counsel, and prepare students in areas of career and professional development. They host career development workshops and presentations for a variety of student populations. They are expected to possess a working knowledge of student and/or career development theories and be able to collaborate and foster a cooperative work environment with colleagues.
Essential Functions:
Counsel and advise students in individual appointments through various mediums (in-person, virtual, phone, or email) on topics to prepare students in areas of career and professional development; Topics may include career and major exploration, job and internship search, resume/cover letter reviews, and interview preparation; Appointments will include both scheduled and drop-in appointments.
Effectively coordinate and lead career and professional development workshops, presentations, and informational sessions for the SMU campus community; These may be hosted at various locations on campus and/or virtually; This also includes the creation or management of any print and/or digital resources and event marketing material.
Act as liaison to university academic colleges, departments, or student groups, as well as offices through the Division of Student Affairs to expand student access to the career center, and maintain collaborative relationships to create effective programming for students.
Assist with supervision, mentorship, training, and development of Hegi undergraduate and graduate student employees and student leaders involved with Hegi office programs; Opportunities to directly supervise staff may be available.
Create career development programming as well a mentor and advise international students with their job search, resume building, and experiential learning opportunities. Collaborate with other departments and offices to learn about resource and opportunities for international students.
Serve as support or coordinator for Hegi departmental events (i.e. career fair, Hegi Career Leaders meetings, Homecoming events, etc.) which may include on-site career counseling, set up and take down assistance.
Additional duties as assigned or as needed to reach the overall department goals, which may include (1) evaluation and assessment, (2) involvement in partner office events and activities, (3) and enhancement of services.
Occasional evening/weekend hours may be required.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
A Master's degree is required. A degree in Counseling, Higher Educations Administration or other related degree is preferred.
A minimum of three (3) years of experience in a student facing setting in higher education is required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Candidate must demonstrate strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate broadly across the University and develop and maintain effective relationships with a wide range of constituencies. Must also demonstrate strong written communication skills.
Candidate must possess strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and analyze problems, as well as devise solutions. Must also have strong organizational, planning and time management skills.
Candidate knowledge of current employment and career planning materials, as well as career development theories, is a plus.

About the Position:
This role is an on-campus, in-person position.
The Assistant Director provides career and professional development education for SMU students and alumni through counseling appointments, workshops, and presentations. They manage individual appointments through various mediums to advise, counsel, and prepare students in areas of career and professional development. They host career development workshops and presentations for a variety of student populations. They are expected to possess a working knowledge of student and/or career development theories and be able to collaborate and foster a cooperative work environment with colleagues.
Essential Functions:
Counsel and advise students in individual appointments through various mediums (in-person, virtual, phone, or email) on topics to prepare students in areas of career and professional development; Topics may include career and major exploration, job and internship search, resume/cover letter reviews, and interview preparation; Appointments will include both scheduled and drop-in appointments.
Effectively coordinate and lead career and professional development workshops, presentations, and informational sessions for the SMU campus community; These may be hosted at various locations on campus and/or virtually; This also includes the creation or management of any print and/or digital resources and event marketing material.
Act as liaison to university academic colleges, departments, or student groups, as well as offices through the Division of Student Affairs to expand student access to the career center, and maintain collaborative relationships to create effective programming for students.
Assist with supervision, mentorship, training, and development of Hegi undergraduate and graduate student employees and student leaders involved with Hegi office programs; Opportunities to directly supervise staff may be available.

Qualifications
Education and Experience:
A Master's degree is required. A degree in Counseling, Higher Educations Administration or other related degree is preferred.
A minimum of three (3) years of experience in a student facing setting in higher education is required.

Requirements:
Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW) with a specialization in clinical practice from an accredited school of Social Work.
Meets all state required regulations to practice in the dialysis setting.
Obtained their Clinical License (e.g., LCSW, LICSW), meeting all licensure requirements for their state.
Proficient in all Experienced level Social Worker duties.
Intermediate computer skills.
Demonstrated knowledge of government and private insurance programs.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
