The Assistant Residential Director for the Developmental Disabilities Division is responsible for the successful administration and management of the clinical, budgetary and business operations of the Developmental Disabilities Division.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure implementation of philosophy of service delivery for DS and ensure high quality of services are maintained across all programs.
  • Assist with oversight of the Developmental Disabilities Division budget and ensure division meets expectations.
  • Provide oversight and leadership for iCentrix for DS Residential.
  • Ensure individual support plans are person-centered, support the individual’s life goals and are written appropriately with measurable objectives and entered into HCSIS within the required time frame.  
  • Organize staff and staffing functions to provide appropriate and efficient services, and satisfaction.
  • Ensure adequate implementation of agency and program specific policies and procedures.
  • Act as a liaison between related state agencies, community providers, families and guardians, and Advocates administration and programs.
  • Identify and assist with program development and strategies.
  • Ensure that performance evaluations and monthly supervisions are conducted.
  • Ensure that all records are maintained and reports are submitted in accordance with standards established by Advocates and applicable licensing and quality assurance regulations.
  • Assist with management of administrative processes and requirements in consultation with Fiscal, Human Resources, Information Services, Housing, and Maintenance functions.
  • Ensure that staff receives appropriate certifications and trainings to perform duties adequately. And ensuring all certifications and trainings are current.
  • Maintain constructive and productive internal and external communications with staff, managers, providers, vendors, and funding sources.
  • Provide on-call backup to Program Directors, assist to cover Program Director vacations and vacancies when they arise.
  • Participate in Clinical Case Reviews, PBS meetings and all additional meetings as required
  • Attend and actively participate in all trainings as assigned; maintain necessary certifications (CPR/First Aid, Safety Care, MAP).
  • Attend and actively participate in all supervisions and staff meetings
  • Assist with coordination of agenda and leading agenda items for Program Director and program manager meetings and trainings.
  • Perform physical intervention in the event of a client crisis.
  • Ensure that individuals we support are treated with dignity and respect in accordance with Advocates’ Human Rights Policy.
  • Adhere to all principles related to the Advocates Way
  • Perform all duties in accordance with the agency’s policies and procedures.
  • Strictly follow all agency performance standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) in social services or other related field and three to five years’ experience supervising multiple programs and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Prior experience in budget development and implementation.
  • Strongly prefer that a candidate will have a demonstrated understanding of and competence in serving culturally diverse populations.
  • Strong computer knowledge.  Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Familiarity and experience in using an Electronic Health Record.
  • Ability to execute a variety of decision-making models.
  • Working knowledge of applicable regulations (DDS, MAP).
  • High energy level, superior interpersonal skills and ability to function in a team atmosphere.
  • Strong analytical, numerical and reasoning abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal. 
  • Must hold a valid drivers’ license.  Must have access to an operational and insured vehicle and be willing to use it to transport consumers.
  • Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
