Job Description
The Sanford Center for Aging at the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine invites applications for the role of Program Coordinator, Senior Outreach Services (SOS). This grant-funded program is part of Community Services and provides volunteer-based companionship to Washoe County elders living at home who are lonely, isolated and looking for a friend. The SOS Coordinator will prioritize client and volunteer service and identify community resources to address client needs; administer in-home client assessments; assist the Director to identify and implement quality improvements; successfully match clients with trained volunteers; conduct outreach to targeted populations; measure, analyze and report on grant output goals; and maintain accurate client and volunteer data. This position reports to the Director of Community Services.
At the Sanford Center for Aging, we are committed to dispelling ageism and providing compassionate care and service to our community's older adult population. The ideal candidate in this role will share our mission to serve, and demonstrate excellent written, verbal, and active listening communication skills, management of distinct priorities on differing timelines, adaptability and an eye for detail and organization. An enthusiasm for outreach, relationship building, forging personal connections with clients and volunteers, and engaging with a variety of audiences will contribute to success in the role. A strong sense of self and respect for the boundaries and abilities of others are key.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree and two years of related professional experience OR
Master's Degree and one year of related professional work experience
Related Experience: Working with older adults in home settings
Certification and Licensure: Nevada Driver's License
Preferred Qualifications
• Background in social work, human services, public health or related field • Experience working with/managing volunteers • Experience administering needs assessments • Experience connecting individuals with community resources

COMPENSATION: Brentwood School's diverse and talented faculty ranges widely in experience level, from those new to teaching to veterans who are experts in their respective disciplines with 30+ years of experience. Our salary range, of $72,000 to $120,000, includes all levels of experience. Salaries are determined based on years of experience, education, full- or part-time status, and number of months worked per school year. Salary ranges do not include benefits i.e. 403b retirement matching, paid lunchtime, free breakfast and lunch, free parking, subsidy toward medical, dental, vision, life/AD&D plans, and generous time off. The pay range is an estimate and is not guaranteed. If hired, your actual base salary will be determined by your education, experience, and schedule.

THE SCHOOL Brentwood School in Los Angeles, California, is an independent, coeducational, college-preparatory day school in the Brentwood neighborhood of west Los Angeles. HISTORY Founded as a non-profit corporation in 1972, Brentwood School acquired the Brentwood Military Academy, which had existed on the land now known as Brentwood’s East Campus, and opened a co-educational, college preparatory day school with grades 6-10. Grade 11 was added in fall 1973 and Brentwood’s first senior class graduated in June 1975. In 1994, Brentwood purchased the nearby Marymount Junior School campus and opened a Kindergarten through grade 6 campus in the fall of 1995. As the 2019-2020 school year began, Brentwood opened a new Middle School building and reconfigured the division to include grades 6-8. LOCATION AND SETTING Visitors to Brentwood’s two campuses are immediately struck by their beauty and warmth. The setting is a well-integrated blend of old and new buildings, red-tiled roofs, intimate courtyards, ivy-covered walls and green fields. Brentwood’s East Campus, housing grades 6-12, is situated on 28 acres with Mission-style historic buildings, a new 73,000 square foot Middle School building, renovated Upper School classrooms, and sustainable landscaping. The five story Middle School building houses not only general classrooms but also includes dedicated spaces for music, art, science, fabrication and design, theater rehearsal, film, dance, a separate theater, a library, and dining hall/kitchen. THE ARTS The arts programs at Brentwood foster a supportive atmosphere that promotes questioning, individuality, and diversity. Job Description
The Vice President for Student Affairs (VPSA) has a deep commitment to the well-being and development of students on campus and is responsible for providing leadership, budgetary decisions, and administrative oversight for all Student Affairs functions, including managing and developing functional leaders.
The VPSA provides leadership and management oversite for approximately 100 employees, and another 700 student employees in the Division of Student Affairs. The Division is committed to developing and maintaining a healthy and welcoming campus community for all students.
With a focus on national best-practices, the individual develops long term cost-effective strategies to support student initiatives, analyzes data to make sound decisions, recommends operational efficiencies, evaluates revenue projections, determines the fiscal impact of state budget allocations, and represents the University's interest in various internal and external constituent groups.
The VPSA is highly engaged with the Nevada System of Higher Education and Board of Regents, representing the President in these and other high-level community forums. As a member of the President's Cabinet, the Vice President of Student Affairs works as part of a team to set the overall direction of the University though consultation with the members of the Cabinet on University-wide issues. Job Description
The Vice President for Student Affairs (VPSA) has a deep commitment to the well-being and development of students on campus and is responsible for providing leadership, budgetary decisions, and administrative oversight for all Student Affairs functions, including managing and developing functional leaders.
The VPSA provides leadership and management oversite for approximately 100 employees, and another 700 student employees in the Division of Student Affairs. The Division is committed to developing and maintaining a healthy and welcoming campus community for all students.
With a focus on national best-practices, the individual develops long term cost-effective strategies to support student initiatives, analyzes data to make sound decisions, recommends operational efficiencies, evaluates revenue projections, determines the fiscal impact of state budget allocations, and represents the University's interest in various internal and external constituent groups.
The VPSA is highly engaged with the Nevada System of Higher Education and Board of Regents, representing the President in these and other high-level community forums. As a member of the President's Cabinet, the Vice President of Student Affairs works as part of a team to set the overall direction of the University though consultation with the members of the Cabinet on University-wide issues. The VPSA must anticipate and respond to challenges and opportunities in higher education and advise the President.

Primary Purpose

• Provide leadership for an expanded vision for CBIPD in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of COCC. • Provide leadership for long-term planning for CBIPD. • Explore, propose, and develop new non-credit training opportunities that meet regional workforce needs, including apprenticeship, manufacturing, and technology. • Continuously assess regional workforce training needs through networking with regional leaders and participation in regional and state economic and workforce development entities and other professional development opportunities. • In collaboration with CBIPD staff and business and industry stakeholders, develop and consistently offer a robust slate of workforce training programs for our region, with emphasis on expanding offerings to more rural and underserved populations. • Create and monitor key performance indicators for CBIPD. Develop and implement strategies for improvement. • Foster a supportive team environment that motivates and develops staff members. • Model and maintain high standards and performance expectations. • Engage and advocate for CBIPD with community stakeholders and College leadership.
Administrative and Operational Duties:
• Supervision and evaluation of the assistant director Small Business Development Center, apprenticeship and pre-apprenticeship staff, program managers, and administrative assistants. Manage overall budget and operations, performing duties as they pertain to the overall position objectives. • Ensure ongoing training opportunities that meet the needs of the region and ensures optimum use of departmental time and resources. • Ensure coherence regarding training schedules, offerings, and delivery. • Engage with community as appropriate. • Participate in College initiatives and teams, as appropriate.

Ergonomic Requirements
Working hours are typically Monday through Friday, 8 am – 5 pm (Wednesdays until 6 pm); occasional evening and weekend hours required, as work schedule changes based on work requirements. Computer screen work 50 percent of the time. Work is performed in an ordinary office, mostly sitting with extended standing and some lifting under ten pounds. All individuals are required to be able to perform the essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
Minimum Requirements
Education:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Finance, Marketing, Business Communication or related field.
Experience:
• Four years of experience in management, marketing and finance, or equivalent high-level experience in a corporate environment, to include financial planning, marketing, business development, accounting systems, and personnel administration/supervision. • Two years’ work experience developing external partnerships and/or developing new programs.

Ergonomic Requirements
Working hours are typically Monday through Friday, 8 am – 5 pm (Wednesdays until 6 pm); occasional evening and weekend hours required, as work schedule changes based on work requirements. Job Description
The University of Nevada, Reno seeks a dynamic professional to fill the Specialist, Communication position for the Office of the President.
The Specialist, Communication is responsible for managing the communication, web, and social media platforms for the Office of the President ensuring the highest standards. This position manages incoming inquiries, comments, and concerns and writes emails, letters, and other tailored correspondence in response. The Specialist must represent the President with appropriate tone and style. The Specialist recognizes individual political sensitivity, trending issues, and personalized nature required of each communication. The Specialist also serves as an event coordinator for the Office of the President with responsibility to ensure the details of the event are well planned and executed and the President is well-prepped for his event obligations.
The position will additionally analyze and prepare data on behalf of the President for internal decision-making and reports to the Board of Regents and other University stakeholders. This position will provide executive support to the Chief of Staff and will support the Director of Special Projects and Assistant to the President on priority projects and needs.
The Specialist will demonstrate an attention to detail, professional attitude, ability to maintain confidentiality, and ability to keep pace with a fast-paced work environment.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree and two (2) years of related work experience; OR

Center for the Application of Substance Abuse Technologies (CASAT)

The Center for the Application of Substance Abuse Technologies (CASAT) located in the School of Public Health at the University of Nevada invites applications for two full-time Lecturer II / Teaching Assistant Professor / Teaching Associate Professor position (9-months, non-tenure track). These positions will be part of the instructional staff for the School of Public Health and CASAT. These positions will focus on substance use prevention, treatment, and recovery support services and are slated to begin July 1, 2023.
These positions’ primary duties will be to instruct courses at the undergraduate and master’s levels. The successful candidates will demonstrate effective teaching in large lecture courses, smaller upper-level courses, and internship/practicum courses. The expected load per semester is four courses which will primarily be in-person although online courses may be taught as well. Topics for the courses include: overview of prevention, treatment and recovery regarding substance and alcohol use, signs and symptoms, prevention strategies, assessment and diagnosis, counseling and treatment interventions, ethics and professional standards, and case management/treatment record-keeping requirements.

Department Information CASAT is a grant-funded center located in the School of Public Health with an undergraduate minor, certificate programs, and a master’s specialization in addiction treatment services. Approximately 800 students take CASAT sponsored courses online and in-person every semester. CASAT has one of the largest Minor at the University of Nevada with students from Criminal Justice, Human Development and Family Studies, Psychology, and Social Work earning a minor or certificate. The Center for the Application of Substance Abuse Technologies (CASAT) located in the School of Public Health at the University of Nevada invites applications for two full-time Lecturer II / Teaching Assistant Professor / Teaching Associate Professor position (9-months, non-tenure track). These positions will be part of the instructional staff for the School of Public Health and CASAT. These positions will focus on substance use prevention, treatment, and recovery support services and are slated to begin July 1, 2023.
These positions’ primary duties will be to instruct courses at the undergraduate and master’s levels. The successful candidates will demonstrate effective teaching in large lecture courses, smaller upper-level courses, and internship/practicum courses. The expected load per semester is four courses which will primarily be in-person although online courses may be taught as well. Topics for the courses include: overview of prevention, treatment and recovery regarding substance and alcohol use, signs and symptoms, prevention strategies, assessment and diagnosis, counseling and treatment interventions, ethics and professional standards, and case management/treatment record-keeping requirements.

Preferred Qualifications Demonstrated experience in working in community-based SUD treatment programs. Demonstrated experience working with peer support specialists or in substance use prevention settings.
