You have experience in purchasing for a public agency, a solid understanding of compliance oversight, and strong data analysis and reporting skills. You have the proven ability to build trust and develop strong relationships with internal and external partners. You have the technical ability to help subcontractors enroll in, and understand how to submit data in the software tracking system. As our new Construction Supplier Diversity Specialist, you’ll be able to use your purchasing and compliance expertise to support the library bond project teams in increasing access to public procurement opportunities, focusing your efforts on supporting the $387M November 2020 Multnomah County Library Bond. The bond program will build, rebuild or renovate nine library spaces; add modern technology infrastructure; and refresh remaining library facilities and materials handling systems.
In this position, you will ensure contractor and supplier compliance with the Workforce Training and Hiring Program (WTHP), Good Faith Effort Program, and the County’s Supplier Diversity Program for all Library Bond contracts. You will plan, coordinate and administer WTHP and subcontractor utilization efforts to ensure that women- and minority-owned businesses and COBID-certified firms participate in Library Bond contract work.
