Job Description

The City of Portland's Bureau of Human Resources is seeking a Recruitment Specialist to join our Workforce Recruitment & Training (WRT) team. This position is classified as a Human Resources Analyst I.

The purpose of the Workforce Recruitment and Training (WRT) Recruitment Specialist is to plan, develop, implement, and evaluate programs and initiatives focused on casual/temporary and entry level recruitment and hiring. The incumbent represents the City of Portland at Career Fairs and speaks to High School students regarding the City of Portland and opportunities available. The incumbent facilitates trainings Citywide and at external Community Organizations. Trainings include Cover Letter & Resume Workshops and "How to Apply" Classes that pertain to the recruitment lifecycle and application process at the City of Portland.
