Full Time Communications Marketing Nonprofit Program Management Strategy

Job Description

We hope you are inspired by what we do and are excited to contribute to our mission. The Academy is looking for candidates who do great work, and we know they may come from a number of different backgrounds and experiences. We encourage you to apply even if you don’t believe you meet every one of the qualifications for the position.

We’re looking for a direct response marketer and program manager to join our Membership team to support our efforts to attract, steward and retain our digital and local members.

This is an exciting opportunity to support both the Academy’s seasoned membership program through engaging marketing communications, stewardship events and help build out its new digital membership program from the ground up. Both programs directly support our bold new purpose to regenerate the natural world through science, learning, and collaboration. As we seek to reimagine membership, you will be an integral and key component of the team. The Membership Program Manager reports to the Senior Membership Marketing Manager.

While this position would normally be expected to work in the Academy offices, under current operations the position is expected to be primarily remote for the time being. Employees whose jobs meet the eligibility requirements for working from home may do so as long as they work out of their home in California and can easily come onsite when necessary.

We are committed to ensuring diversity, equity, accessibility, and inclusion are intrinsic to Academy culture and operations, from recruitment and retention to science and advocacy. Explore Our Commitment to Racial Equity to learn about our intentional engagement of traditionally excluded groups in an effort to spark interest in or foster pathways to scientific careers.
