Your expertise in pediatric surgery will be critical as you manage and direct all aspects of the Mattel Children’s surgical program, including the facilitation of all hospital components of our Level 1 Children’s Surgery Center verification process. You will be responsible for ensuring adherence to the American College of Surgeons requirements, Title 22, CMS, CDPH and The Joint Commission Standards.

This will involve programmatic, multidisciplinary CQI, budget direction, and system review and development.

You will:

  • Identify/develop pediatric surgical-specific standards
  • Oversee process/performance improvement of nursing and ancillary personnel
  • Provide key support to the Medical Director of the Children’s Surgical Program
  • Manage children’s surgical education initiatives
  • Serve as expert in relevant legislation activities
  • Contribute to internal strategic planning
  • Evaluate cost/benefit in care provision
  • Drive overall service excellence

Qualifications

  • We’re seeking a proven nursing leader with a current California RN license and BSN with an MSN or Master's degree in a related field, required
  • Three or more years of pediatric acute care or med/surg experience
  • At least one year of quality experience
  • Previous management experience
  • BLS from the ARC or AHA
