Summary

This position is located in the Chief Information Officer Organization, DIT, Financial Management Program Section, HQ of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and provides support and is responsible for budget formulation, budget execution, IT financial management and reporting, annual forecast development, contract price realism, and cost estimation.

Responsibilities

Directs the IT budget formulation and execution for CIO Organization by establishing, developing, and determining overall objectives and priorities, performs IT financial management activities and reporting, forecasting, and cost estimation.

Directs staff on the drafting and maintenance of financial standards, financial controls, program policies, procedures, and highly technical financial issues necessary to support the Information Technology activities of CIOO and of the FDIC, including budget, cost management, asset management and chargeback/cost allocation.

Serves as the principal source for all IT financial reporting for the CIOO, including the preparation/review of cost/benefit analyses on major (over $3 million) IT projects, and of CIOO consolidated performance based contracts.

Qualifications

Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious/spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

To qualify, applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS/CG-13 grade level or above in the Federal service.  Specialized experience is defined as experience directing the IT budget formulation and execution for an organization by establishing, developing, and determining overall objectives and priorities; and managing IT financial management activities and reporting, forecasting, and cost estimation.

Salary

$157,375 to $243,500 per year
