Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Receivable Associate to join our accounting team. The Accounts Receivable Associate performs the day-to-day transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting, and recording of client invoices and client payments. As an Account Receivable Associate, you must be accurate and reliable in handling accounts and documents. Being good at math and a high degree of organizational ability are essential due to the great amount of financial information. Since you will be using technology to expedite your work, a high degree of computer knowledge is required.

Set-up new customers in accounting system

Review customer projects and invoices before approving invoices for distribution

Prepares monthly media billing reports

Creates monthly media invoices on approved media buys

Ensure correct coding of all customer payments in the accounting system

Deposits received payments through bank provided check scanner/deposit machines

Performs client credit card charges via online portal

Respond to customer billing AR inquiries

Verify discrepancies and resolve clients' billing issues

Prepare, reconcile, and distribute customer statements

Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending weekly AR and past due reports to client services team and management

Maintenance and reconciliation of customer records

Review of customer files for accuracy and identification of irregularities


Associates Degree or equivalent experience

2-5 years bookkeeping / accounting experience in Accounts Receivable experience

Strong math, computer analytical skills

Excellent communication skills

Team player with positive professional image attitude

Ability to organize work efficiently
