Job Description

Responsibilities

In this role, you will serve as a manager/practitioner for all aspects of education and training for UCLA Health, to include the Hospitals and Clinics, Faculty Practice Group, and the David Geffen School of Medicine. You will lead lead a team of contributors who will bring to UCLA Health the best and most innovative examples of learning and development practices and top-notch expertise for leading professional development, leadership development, change management, and leadership and team consulting.

As our Training Manager, you will use methodologies and best practices to design and oversee training efforts that support UCLA Health’s objectives at both organizational and at the unit levels. You will work collaboratively with strategic partners across UCLA Health to assess the organization’s climate and current programs/initiatives. You will also help leaders and key stakeholders articulate their training and development aspirations, as well as identify and recommend strategic and programmatic solutions to advance UCLA Health’s agenda.

Qualifications

  • Experience managing high-performing team in a complex matrixed environment preferred
  • Demonstrated experience developing training professionals
  • 8-10 years of progressive responsibility in creating learning and development modalities.
  • Strong knowledge of learning and development methodologies; formal design and development approaches, adult learning best practices, and industry training technologies used to deploy, maintain, and monitor learning.
  • In-depth knowledge of training techniques and practices to drive enhanced skills to improve performance.
  • Exceptional presentation, consensus-building, and people skills
  • Strong analytic skills and the ability to translate complicated data and/or concepts into usable information that can be relayed in a clear fashion
