Position Summary
The Outreach and Events Coordinator works to build bridges between UO Libraries and the communities we serve, including students, faculty, staff, alumni, and donors. Reporting to the Associate Vice Provost and University Librarian for Central Services, this position will design, coordinate, and implement outreach initiatives to actively engage and foster strong relationships with our user communities. They will be responsible for managing a wide range of programming from Week of Welcome and finals stress-buster events for students to donor development and recognition celebrations. This position will showcase the fascinating facets of our library by developing and leading guided tours, focusing on areas such as art & architecture, services, conservation, and special collections. They will also collaborate closely with the Libraries Communications team to create compelling promotional content across various media platforms.
The Outreach and Events Coordinator also plays a pivotal role in donor outreach. They will organize key Libraries Advancement Council meetings, manage our donor recognition programs, and coordinate endowment reports, working across library departments to bring impactful insights to our donors. This position actively participates in campus-wide stewardship, collaborating with peers to constantly enhance our approach to donor relations. They will provide support to the Associate Director of Development assigned to Libraries within University Advancement, attend Advancement all-personnel meetings, and make significant contributions to Advancement initiatives and projects related to Libraries.

At every program level our students are well placed in their target job markets, reflecting demand for the students who have been expertly trained in financial economics. We have innovated in our curriculum, most recently by adding a Python for Finance course for our masters students, and we plan to add a data analytics class with Finance applications for our undergraduates.
In addition, our department developed and has nurtured for 20 years the UOIG (University of Oregon Investment Group), where undergraduate students manage approximately $2 million in assets, and now the master's Investment Group, which have placed students into rewarding careers in investment management (e.g. MScience), and corporate finance (e.g., Intel), and are flagship programs in Lundquist College. A large part of their success has been the active involvement of our research faculty. Furthermore, our PhD program is successfully training our students for academic careers. We have a 100% placement rate in academic positions.
Minimum Requirements
Completed Ph.D. degree in Finance, Economics or related field with demonstrated potential for teaching excellence and the ability to publish research in high quality academic journals. Candidates who plan to complete a doctoral degree within a year of hiring will also be considered.
Preferred Qualifications
• A record of scholarly contributions, such as publications in top-tier journals, conference presentations, etc… that is commensurate with the career stage of the applicant;
• Ability to effectively teach courses at undergraduate and/or graduate levels;

The Associate Director of Human Resources, CBSO will join the newly formed HR shared services team within the CBSO and will provide HR leadership to the CBSO HR staff including directors, managers, classified personnel, and the breadth of HR across each of the 5 supported units. The ADHR is one of two Associate Directors focused on supporting over 1,000 employees (faculty, staff, student, and graduate employees).
The ADHR will lead a team to learn the unique needs of your customers and develop policies, practices, and workflows to meet those needs while working closely with school, college, and university (University HR) leadership to implement consistent HR best practices across the CBSO portfolio. Reporting to the Senior Director of the CBSO, and as a member of the CBSO leadership team, you will participate in strategic planning, including recruiting and hiring, employee engagement, workforce planning, helping shape the experience of administrators, faculty, staff, and students throughout the employee life cycle.
As the leader of Human Resources in the CBSO, you will work closely with university leaders, administrators, supervisors, search chairs, and hiring managers, providing strategic consultation and excellent customer service to help them meet their HR goals. Using knowledge and creativity, you will help guide our customers to solutions that align with UO (University of Oregon) policies and practices. You will keep your finger on the pulse of emerging trends, concerns, and best practices, sharing your assessments with leadership, and adjusting priorities and strategic approaches accordingly.
You will lead recruitment efforts by writing engaging position descriptions and job advertisements while incorporating strategies to build robust and diverse pools of applicants. You will coach and train supervisors and leadership on best practices for running searches, including proactively removing roadblocks for applicants and building diverse and inclusive active recruitment strategies. Your team will be the first point of contact for new employees as you onboard them to their units and the university. You will build out and refine onboarding processes that set up new employees for success and begin the process of retaining them.
You will work with division leaders and University HR on employee engagement strategies, performance evaluation, and professional development, supervisor training and coaching, and employee and labor relations (ELR) needs. Your team will also manage the employee exit process including exit interviews and surveys, collecting data, identifying trends, and proposing initiatives to better engage, develop, and retain our faculty and staff.
While there is room for innovation and creativity in this role, there is also an expectation of an elevated level of support. This position will be a part of a team of HR professionals across campus and will work closely with University Human Resources professionals who can provide guidance, consultation, subject-matter expertise, and a sounding board for innovative ideas.
Minimum Requirements
• Five years of progressively responsible human resources experience and a bachelor's degree; or seven years of progressively responsible HR experience*.
• Three years' experience supervising at least one regular, permanent employee including performance management; OR five years' combined experience performing lead work and supervising students/interns/part-time/temporary staff.
*HR experience is subject matter expertise in one or more of the functional areas of HR, such as recruitment and hiring; classification and compensation; employee and labor relations; or employee training, development, and retention.

You will build out and refine onboarding processes that set up new employees for success and begin the process of retaining them.
You will work with division leaders and University HR on employee engagement strategies, performance evaluation, and professional development, supervisor training and coaching, and employee and labor relations (ELR) needs. Your team will also manage the employee exit process including exit interviews and surveys, collecting data, identifying trends, and proposing initiatives to better engage, develop, and retain our faculty and staff.
While there is room for innovation and creativity in this role, there is also an expectation of an elevated level of support. This position will be a part of a team of HR professionals across campus and will work closely with University Human Resources professionals who can provide guidance, consultation, subject-matter expertise, and a sounding board for innovative ideas.
Minimum Requirements
• Five years of progressively responsible human resources experience and a bachelor's degree; or seven years of progressively responsible HR experience*.
• Three years' experience supervising at least one regular, permanent employee including performance management; OR five years' combined experience performing lead work and supervising students/interns/part-time/temporary staff.

Department Summary
The Lundquist College of Business Strategic Communications office manages the college's brand, marketing, and key messages to advance the strategic objectives and goals of the college and the university related to recruiting students and faculty, student success, alumni and donor development, industry and employer awareness, and general public and media relations. In order to deliver on the goal of connecting every Lundquist student with the people and opportunities that help them succeed, the Lundquist College of Business builds and operates programs, services, training, advising, tutoring, technology, and events to enable students to gain hands-on learning experience, explore careers, network, enhance their education, build relationships, and more. The Marketing and Communications Lead, Student Success position leads the marketing and communication efforts for current students, working closely with Lundquist's Strategic Communications team to deliver clear, effective, and inclusive communications to current undergraduate and graduate business students in Eugene and Portland, as well as faculty and external partners supporting programs and initiatives for current students.
The individual holding this job will have the primary responsibility for strategizing, conceptualizing, project managing, and executing communications and marketing materials targeted to current business students. These materials may include websites, e-newsletters, social media posts, calendar entries, event promotion materials, advertisements, flyers, brochures, posters, videos, and other digital and print collateral.
In doing so, the Marketing and Communications Lead, Student Success collaborates closely with other members of the Lundquist Strategic Communications team, including a graphic designer, web communications specialist, videographer, and writer, as well as the Director of Strategic Communications. At least one year of this experience must have involved participating in planning and administering an organization's public relations program.
A Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, or a closely related field may substitute for up to two years of the general experience but will not substitute for the one year of specialized experience.

Department Summary
The Lundquist College of Business Strategic Communications office manages the college's brand, marketing, and key messages to advance the strategic objectives and goals of the college and the university related to recruiting students and faculty, student success, alumni and donor development, industry and employer awareness, and general public and media relations. The Marketing and Communications Lead, Student Success position works under the direction of the Director of Strategic Communications within the college's Strategic Communications office.
The Lundquist Strategic Communications office has the decision-making authority for the college's overall communication strategy; actively manages and directs the college's website and affiliated web and social media presences; plans, creates, produces, and distributes various end products, including magazines, e-newsletters, brochures, blogs, advertisements, annual reports, case statement, proposals, videos, and press releases; and develops and administers the college's graphic design, writing, user interface, and logo usage standards and visual brand guidelines in accordance with the university's overall marketing strategy and identity guidelines.
The Lundquist Strategic Communications office represents the college and interacts with various constituents, including prospective and current students, donors, alumni, and industry representatives. In addition, it internally represents the college and coordinates with other university units on campus, including the central University of Oregon Communications team.
Position Summary
In order to deliver on the goal of connecting every Lundquist student with the people and opportunities that help them succeed, the Lundquist College of Business builds and operates programs, services, training, advising, tutoring, technology, and events to enable students to gain hands-on learning experience, explore careers, network, enhance their education, build relationships, and more. The Marketing and Communications Lead, Student Success position leads the marketing and communication efforts for current students, working closely with Lundquist's Strategic Communications team to deliver clear, effective, and inclusive communications to current undergraduate and graduate business students in Eugene and Portland, as well as faculty and external partners supporting programs and initiatives for current students.
The individual holding this job will have the primary responsibility for strategizing, conceptualizing, project managing, and executing communications and marketing materials targeted to current business students. These materials may include websites, e-newsletters, social media posts, calendar entries, event promotion materials, advertisements, flyers, brochures, posters, videos, and other digital and print collateral.
In doing so, the Marketing and Communications Lead, Student Success collaborates closely with other members of the Lundquist Strategic Communications team, including a graphic designer, web communications specialist, videographer, and writer, as well as the Director of Strategic Communications. The employee executes these responsibilities in accordance with the college's and the UO's overall communication and marketing strategy, brand and visual identity standards, and web and writing style guidelines.
This individual will also work closely with and respond to various units within the college to strategize, plan, manage, create, write, and coordinate marketing and communications to current students to achieve unit as well as college goals for student success. These units include the college's departments, centers of excellence, Mohr Career Services, Office of Advising and Student Experience, Braddock Tutoring, Office of the Dean, information services and instructional technology, building services, undergraduate and graduate programs, Portland programs, and student clubs.
Minimum Requirements
• Three years of experience as a public relations representative for an organization which involved gathering information, writing and/or producing materials, presenting information to the public, handling public relations, preparing press releases, and interaction with the news media. At least one year of this experience must have involved participating in planning and administering an organization's public relations program.
A Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, or a closely related field may substitute for up to two years of the general experience but will not substitute for the one year of specialized experience.
Professional Competencies
• Demonstrated professional writing, editing, communications, and marketing experience.
• Advanced skills with design tools such as the Adobe suite or Canva, as well as with Microsoft Office on a Macintosh or Windows Computer.
• Experience with project management software and client services, including coordinating and communicating with diverse constituents with varying skill sets and knowledge of marketing and communications.
• Experience working and partnering with clients, constituents, and stakeholders to develop and guide communications and marketing plans.

Position Summary

Position Summary
The research administrative coordinator is a detail-oriented, adaptable, organized, and communicative individual that advises Principal Investigators and researching's in preparing grant proposals and maintaining post-award grant/contract accountability and compliance, in accordance with funding agency award agreements, university policy, and general accounting principles and procedures.
The position interprets federal/state guidelines and requirements and provides support in adhering to legal, policy, and technical requirements. Using the Banner Financial System and Excel includes maintaining shared ledgers for grants funds, cost share funds, matching funds (external and internal), and other related research funds.
This position will evaluate and approve purchase requisitions, place orders, process invoice payments, journal vouchers, Personal Services Contracts, and travel reimbursements. The position will verify the accuracy of receipts and expense claims, and review account files to ensure audit trail requirements are met. The position will assist faculty and staff as needed with completing travel requests and expense reports through the University's Concur travel system and ensures compliance with sponsor, IRS, State, and UO policies.
Minimum Requirements
• Associate's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or other related field.
• Two years of progressively responsible experience in business, finance, or compliance administration, including experience with project planning.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience.

The research administrative coordinator is a detail-oriented, adaptable, organized, and communicative individual that advises Principal Investigators and researching's in preparing grant proposals and maintaining post-award grant/contract accountability and compliance, in accordance with funding agency award agreements, university policy, and general accounting principles and procedures.
The position interprets federal/state guidelines and requirements and provides support in adhering to legal, policy, and technical requirements. Using the Banner Financial System and Excel includes maintaining shared ledgers for grants funds, cost share funds, matching funds (external and internal), and other related research funds.
This position will evaluate and approve purchase requisitions, place orders, process invoice payments, journal vouchers, Personal Services Contracts, and travel reimbursements. The position will verify the accuracy of receipts and expense claims, and review account files to ensure audit trail requirements are met. The position will assist faculty and staff as needed with completing travel requests and expense reports through the University's Concur travel system and ensures compliance with sponsor, IRS, State, and UO policies.
Minimum Requirements
• Associate's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or other related field.
• Two years of progressively responsible experience in business, finance, or compliance administration, including experience with project planning.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities with overlapping deadlines and frequent interruptions while maintaining a high level of customer service and professionalism.
• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, anticipate needs, prioritize multiple tasks and follow through on tasks to completion.

Preferred Qualifications
• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or other related field.
• Two (2) years of experience providing business or research administration.
• Knowledge of governmental and granting agency regulations pertaining to grants and contracts, and to make recommendations to Principal Investigators to ensure compliance.
• Experience in developing, editing, and reviewing grant proposals and budgets for adherence to Federal, State, Sponsor, and University regulations.
• One or more years of experience managing research or grants in higher education, a research organization, or a related environment.
• Experience with project planning.
• Experience with budget and financial management.

The CHC Events and Forensics Operations Coordinator is a full-time position that works in collaboration with the CHC Director of Alumni and Community Engagement and the Director of Forensics to plan, organize and produce a broad spectrum of events throughout the academic year for the Clark Honors College and supports the UO Forensics and Mock Trial teams (including organizing tournaments on campus and some travel to off-campus tournaments). Functions are largely executed in a self-directed environment, and candidates must demonstrate sound judgment, a proactive attitude, strong organizational and time-management skills, a high level of attention to detail, and an aptitude for problem-solving and creative thinking. This position will require you to implement program and institutional rules and monitor student compliance. Weekend and evening work will be required to ensure that all program needs are met.
Special Requirement: This position will require a valid driver's license and the ability to obtain UO Driver's Certification.
Minimum Requirements
• Bachelor's degree PLUS three years of progressively responsible experience in event planning and operations OR five years of progressively responsible experience in event planning and operations.
