Responsible for the technical operation of content management systems powering components of the CSUN web presence. Provides technical leadership, standards, code reviews, process, and architecture to make the development and maintenance of the CSUN web presence more robust and resilient. Strong emphasis on modernization tools such as cloud technologies, containerization, and CI/CD. Responsible for the design and development of integrations into new and existing systems that interact with components of the CSUN web presence, and to provide assistance and guidance to teams looking to do the same across the university. Ability and specialized skills in developing, administering, and supporting web services written using PHP frameworks such as Laravel and front-end frameworks such as React. Experience with Drupal 8 or higher preferred, but not required. Experience using git VCS, automated testing, and good documentation processes in a collaborative software development setting. Experience in using build automation tools, shell scripting, container-based virtualization and orchestration, CD/CI workflows. Experience with lift-and-shift as well as cloud-native web application implementations. Hands-on, demonstrable experience with AWS resources in particular preferred.
