MPN launches Part-Time Work Experience Program for Students

By Haja Barfield

Last month, MPN founder and Dillard University Alumnus CJ Bland launched the Part-Time Work Experience Program (PT-WEP), hiring 3 students from his alma mater. Haja Barfield, Darrell Bailey, and Soukeyna Dale are the program’s current initiates. MPN plans to grow this number in the future, giving more students around the country and possibly the world the opportunity to learn the skills necessary to work at their full potential. The program enables students to gain valuable professional work experience, while also being able to prioritize their studies and college experience. Despite the program being fully remote, the students still support MPN and drive results autonomously. There are various roles and responsibilities that the students take on, including:

  1. Social Media Strategy and Growth
  2. Digital Marketing Campaigns & Graphic Design
  3. Blog, Articles & Communications
  4. Web Design, Content, Collateral and Marketing
  5. Search Engine Optimization / Search Engine Marketing (SEO/SEM) & Tools
  6. Job Board and other (eCommerce) Web sites
  7. Candidate Sourcing, Search, Placement, Staffing and Recruiting-as-a-Service (RaaS)
  8. Leads Generation & Customer Relationship Management (CRM)
  9. Business & Partnership Development
  10. Events, Training and Consulting Solutions
  11. Communications & Design (DE&I podcasts, DE&I Tip of the day/week, etc.)
  12. Support or enablement of other existing or future MPN company offerings, including DE&I, retention, strategy, consulting, IT, supplier diversity, etc.
