We’re looking for a passionate environmental analyst to join our team of dedicated and resourceful water experts. As a part of the Wastewater & Onsite Programs Division, you will work collaboratively with internal and external partners to support NEIWPCC’s clean water priorities in the Northeast. In this role, you will provide training team support by:
Assisting with in-person and virtual courses.
Collaborating on the development of self-paced training curriculum.
Coordinating the regular training schedule and providing instructors technical assistance.
Monitoring training effectiveness to continuously improve course topics and materials.
What We Are Looking For
The successful candidate will have:
A degree in civil or environmental engineering, environmental science, public health, biology, chemistry, or a related field, and at least three to five years of related full-time professional experience.
A Massachusetts Grade 2M wastewater license, or ability to obtain such license within 18 months of hire.
Effective verbal and written communication skills, with proofreading and editing capability.
With minimal instruction or guidance, proficiency in Microsoft Access, SharePoint, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
The ability to build collaborative relationships, flexibility to work with shifting priorities, and a willingness to learn new tools and systems.
What We Offer

Proactively engage with and build relationships with community groups, demonstrating assertiveness and effective communication to foster collaboration and support for our initiatives.
Conduct outreach to anglers, businesses, and communities along the Lake Champlain Canal corridor in New York to increase awareness of aquatic invasive species (AIS) impacts and methods to reduce unintentional spread.
Organize and execute technical workshops and trainings on AIS issues, and coordinate and attend meetings with partners and stakeholders on AIS-related topics.
Assist with local coordination of activities for an AIS spread prevention solution project, including environmental monitoring, data collection, spread prevention and rapid response activities.

NEIWPCC is seeking a full-time Environmental Analyst to collaborate with municipal stakeholders and community leaders to develop and implement plans to protect drinking water sources throughout the Capital Region of New York state.
What You’ll Do
As a NEIWPCC Environmental Analyst and an essential member of the Drinking Water Source Protection Program (DWSP2), you will:
Work with municipal leaders, water operators, consultants, local health departments and other community stakeholders to develop DWSP2 plans and provide technical assistance during plan implementation.
Collect, analyze, and maintain environmental data to inform recommendations and prepare technical documentation for a variety of stakeholders and for external outreach.
Utilize GIS to create community maps and will be a resource to for questions related to sources of drinking water and locations of possible contamination.
Assist with other tasks related to water supply protection, such as water quality sampling, database management, data analysis, performing sanitary surveys or capacity assessments for public water systems.

Position Summary: Working with Director of USCG Licensing, assist with STCW and United States National licensure efforts on campus by ensuring campus plans are current and meet the requirements as set forth by the CFR, IMO, USCG and MARAD. This includes working with and coordinating efforts with the other State Maritime and Kings Point licensure coordinators. Uses judgement and discretion reflective of a thorough knowledge of USCG Program issues. Refers to policies and practices for guidance. About the California State University Maritime Academy:
Established in 1929, California State University Maritime Academy, a campus of the California State University, is the only degree-granting maritime academy on the West Coast. Located on the scenic Vallejo waterfront, the campus serves a student population of approximately 1000 undergraduates and 50 graduate students.
Cal Maritime offers seven baccalaureate degrees in Business Administration, Global Studies and Maritime Affairs, Facilities Engineering Technology, Marine Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Marine Transportation, and Oceanography. The undergraduate curriculum includes licensing programs for future merchant marine, coast guard, and naval reserve officers. Cal Maritime also offers a Master of Science in Transportation and Engineering Management degree, as well as a number of extended learning programs and courses.
Major Responsibilities:
• Oversee, and maintain STCW and National licensure records as required by the CFR, IMO,USCG and MARAD. • Adhere to an annual calendar of actions required for implementation and execution of the STCW and National Quality Standards System (QSS). • Current Cadet Compliance Maintain STCW Cadet records to include STCW database, certificates, and individual record of sea time equivalency. Maintain database to track compliance for US National and STCW endorsements and requirements not maintained in PeopleSoft. • Manage and process Cadet applications for United States National licensure; work with the Career Center on requirements and certificates needed for Sea Training II; and provide the education on the application process for Cadet Transportation Worker Identification Credentials (TWIC), and non-US citizen Cadet applicants. • Coordinate Cadet USCG MMC applications for national licensure and entry level credentials. Position Summary: Working with Director of USCG Licensing, assist with STCW and United States National licensure efforts on campus by ensuring campus plans are current and meet the requirements as set forth by the CFR, IMO, USCG and MARAD. About the California State University Maritime Academy:
Established in 1929, California State University Maritime Academy, a campus of the California State University, is the only degree-granting maritime academy on the West Coast. Located on the scenic Vallejo waterfront, the campus serves a student population of approximately 1000 undergraduates and 50 graduate students.
Cal Maritime offers seven baccalaureate degrees in Business Administration, Global Studies and Maritime Affairs, Facilities Engineering Technology, Marine Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Marine Transportation, and Oceanography. The undergraduate curriculum includes licensing programs for future merchant marine, coast guard, and naval reserve officers. Cal Maritime also offers a Master of Science in Transportation and Engineering Management degree, as well as a number of extended learning programs and courses.
Major Responsibilities:
