FIRST 5 Santa Clara County supports the healthy development of children, from prenatal through age 5, and enriches the lives of their families and communities. First 5 Santa Clara County is seeking a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Director. The Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Director is responsible for providing strategic leadership in the areas of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) for FIRST 5 to achieve inclusive employment, equitable utilization and development of staff, high morale and productivity, and effective and inclusive communication between management and employees. The new DEI Director is also responsible for complex professional level work with the creation, development, performance, and measurement of DEI programs and activities in the organization. The DEI Director will have the ability to work independently and exercise sound judgement in analyzing highly complex programs and issues, and in collaboration with leadership and employee resource groups or their representatives.
