Provides input on regulatory, privacy and information policy issues, including dissemination, training and awareness and evaluates privacy risks, making recommendations to address control weaknesses and consulting with various internal departments in addressing risks.
Serves as information privacy consultant to the various divisions and offices and performs analyses and preparing reports on privacy controls and improvements in response to requests for such information from Congressional, Federal and Corporation senior staff and from non-governmental sources.
Delivers, and/or ensures the delivery of initial and on-going privacy training and orientation to all employees and maintains knowledge of applicable federal and state privacy laws and accreditation standards, and monitoring advancements in information privacy technologies to ensure organizational adaptation and compliance.
Assists in the development of communications strategies for ensuring employees are aware of the measures being taken to protect information and coordinates and assists in the development of policies and procedures for projects that accurately reflect privacy regulations.
Reviews business objectives, new product development concepts, and marketing initiatives being undertaken by FDIC to determine potential gaps with information and/or privacy policy guidelines and conducts privacy assessments of systems and policies in accordance with existing privacy-related government regulations such as the E-Government Act.
Performs monitoring, tracking and reporting on status and performance results for all FDIC privacy initiatives and processes sensitive privacy data loss incidents and assists in the design and implementation of monitoring practices to ensure FDIC is protecting privacy data in compliance with federal regulations and stated FDIC policies, procedures and practices.
Initiates, organizes and maintains working relationships required to plan and conduct privacy program assignments and recommend appropriate solutions that develops privacy impact assessments (PIAs) and supports initial and periodic information privacy risk assessments and related ongoing compliance monitoring activities.

3. Knowledge of analyzing, conceptualizing and organizing in order to identify and evaluate privacy requirements, develop solutions, and organize efforts to implement solutions.
4. Ability to communicate both orally and in writing.
5. Knowledge of conducting privacy impact assesments (PIAs) as it relates to any information technology that collects, maintains, or disseminates personal information about members of the public.
