WORKING CONDITIONS The Sheriff's Office is a 24 hours per day, 7 days per week operation requiring availability to work any and all shifts. Duties are performed in a variety of settings including office, outdoor environments and in a vehicle and frequently in hostile, stressful, and threatening environments. WORK SCHEDULE For Hours of Work: Refer to Peace Officer's Association Collective Bargaining Agreement - Article 4 - Hours of Work, Section 6: 4-10 Work Schedule. Detectives work Monday - Thursday. Shift start time to be determined upon appointment. It is expected that Detectives will respond during their scheduled mandatory on-call weeks, for a minimum of four weeks per year, to emergency call out situations when needed and when available but not on-call. OTHER INFORMATION SELECTION PROCESS OVERVIEW Testing Requirements- All candidates who meet the minimum qualifications will be invited to test. Applicants will be evaluated through a search warrant affidavit writing test. Test session will be scheduled during the week of June 26th, candidates will be notified upon the close date of the date.
