Position Summary
Planned Parenthood of Metropolitan Washington DC is seeking a development professional to work with the Vice President of Development to advance relationships with private foundations, corporate partners, and government agencies. This position requires excellent writing skills and the ability to handle information of an extremely confidential nature. The Manager of Foundation Relations will manage the proposal process, including researching and writing proposals and compelling reports. Additionally, this position will have the responsibility to research and identify new sources of funding from foundations, corporations, and government entities while continuing to cultivate and steward current supporters.
The Manager of Foundation Relations will ensure the timely development, management, and submission of grant and sponsorship proposals, reporting and acknowledgement to institutional partners. The position reports to the VP of Development and will provide proactive updates to funders, organize successful site visits, and participate in meetings, calls, and events that advance these key relationships for Planned Parenthood of Metropolitan Washington DC. Along with fundraising acumen, this position requires the ability to be a team player.

Also necessary is the ability to multi-task and work effectively under pressure due to conflicting demands. Key Responsibilities
Demonstrates an understanding of and commitment to PPMW’s core values.
Experienced in the identification, cultivation, proposal preparation, and stewardship of foundation, corporate, and government entities. In collaboration with the Vice President of Development, develops metrics to measure success.
Team Player – works with organizational leadership and uses expertise to help PPMW increase their impact in the Metropolitan Washington DC area. Plays a significant role in helping the Development Department of PPMW meet its annual and capital campaign goals.
Ensures that all proposals align funders’ interests with PPMW’s strategic goals.
Works with all internal departments at PPMW to identify and develop proposals and reports that accurately reflect programmatic priorities and needs.
Coordinates all PPMW grant management activities including, but not limited to, scheduling meetings, prospect research, scheduling RFP responses in a timely manner, preparing and submitting required reports to funders, and stewardship of donors.
Provides top quality stewardship to institutional donors who invest in PPMW. Provides personalized outreach and invitations to relevant events and experiences and works with Communications Team to coordinate recognition efforts.
Ensures timely and accurate processing of all grant-related documents.
Works across teams to develop systems for internal collection of data as well as acquiring signatures needed for credentialing.
Proactively builds relationships with new sources of support to ensure requirements are met while strengthening relationships with current donors through stewardship activities as directed.
Supports activities in building and successfully executing the organization’s capital campaign and other activities as needed.
Maintains a current knowledge of the tools, techniques, and data points to advance foundation, corporate, and government grant strategies.
Professional Qualifications and Personal Attributes
The ideal candidate will possess most of the following professional and personal attributes:
Strong writing skills, file management, and time management skills.
Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word, Access, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Proficiency in Raisers Edge NXT preferred, but not required.
Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
One to two years of experience in proposal or business writing.
Experience in grant management preferred.
Believes in and effectively communicates the mission of Planned Parenthood of Washington DC.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this position is $60,000-$70,000, commensurate with experience. Ranked one of the top 25 business programs in the country, the College completed the MSU Empower Extraordinary campaign in 2019, exceeding its $162M goal by raising $195M, including a $62 million capital project. We are now in the planning stages of the next campaign. The Associate Director will be an integral member of a team helping to steward the corporate and foundation gifts that were made during the last campaign and begin setting expectations for the next campaign.

The successful candidate will:
Solicitation, Cultivation & Discovery:
• Meet with corporation and foundation prospects to understand their priorities and strategies with the objective of identifying and building significant alliances, leading to philanthropic support for the Eli Broad College of Business.
• Maintain an aggressive travel and communications schedule with new and existing corporate and foundation partners to build and enrich the Eli Broad College of Business relationships with them.

Position Summary The Eli Broad College of Business at Michigan State University is seeking an enthusiastic and energetic, results-oriented individual to join its highly successful fundraising team as the Associate Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations. Ranked one of the top 25 business programs in the country, the College completed the MSU Empower Extraordinary campaign in 2019, exceeding its $162M goal by raising $195M, including a $62 million capital project. We are now in the planning stages of the next campaign. The Associate Director will be an integral member of a team helping to steward the corporate and foundation gifts that were made during the last campaign and begin setting expectations for the next campaign.
The Associate Director will assist faculty and College administration in identifying, cultivating, and engaging potential corporate and foundation sources of support, with the overarching goal of soliciting major gifts in support of significant College initiatives.
Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for establishing and maintaining a portfolio of corporate and foundation prospects for the Eli Broad College of Business.
The successful candidate will:
Solicitation, Cultivation & Discovery:
• Meet with corporation and foundation prospects to understand their priorities and strategies with the objective of identifying and building significant alliances, leading to philanthropic support for the Eli Broad College of Business.
• Maintain an aggressive travel and communications schedule with new and existing corporate and foundation partners to build and enrich the Eli Broad College of Business relationships with them.
• Identify and build relationships with key alumni/friends within target corporations and foundations in order to seek advice and assistance in relationship building, charitable gifts, and research funding.
Strategy and Coordination:
• Establish close and effective working relationships with College administration, the University Advancement Corporate Relations and Foundation Relations teams, and MSU Business-CONNECT. This requires a person who is experienced and comfortable in working across administrative boundaries in an open and collegial environment.
• Become conversant with the Eli Broad College of Business's strengths and strategic priorities.
• In collaboration with the University Advancement Corporate Relations and Foundation Relations teams, participate in the development of a coordinated strategy to engage target corporations and foundations with the Eli Broad College of Business’ programs/researchers/educational mission.
• Participate in regular meetings with the University Advancement Corporate Relations and Foundation Relations teams.
• Establish effective working relationships with academic department heads, center and institute directors, faculty, and administrators throughout the Eli Broad College of Business in order to thoroughly understand their programs and priorities and to assist them in managing their respective corporate and foundation partnership activities.
• Create opportunities for regular and substantive contact between high-level corporate and foundation executives and the Eli Broad College of Business Dean, Chairs, Center Directors, and key faculty.

Prospective candidates will have excellent written and communication skills, with the ability to produce business correspondence; solicitation materials; appropriate letters of acknowledgement; proposals to individuals, corporations, and foundations; and reports. Individuals sought for this role will have in-depth knowledge of the breadth of corporate interactions with higher education and with foundation practices. With a proven approach to driving impact and a highly effective set of stakeholders and investors, the Equity Fund is facing a number of exciting opportunities. With the field that the Equity Fund supports growing quickly and public investments in clean energy transition accelerating, the Fund is spinning out of its fiscal sponsorship and establishing a new, independent institution that can meet the needs of the growing and dynamic ecosystem of grassroots organizations and expand their collective impact. ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION
The Climate + Clean Energy Equity Fund (the Equity Fund) is supporting a multi-state infrastructure of community-based organizations building power needed to advance an equitable clean energy future. The Equity Fund is strategically building power by:
Investing in the leadership and organizing of diverse communities (Black, Latinx, AAPI, Indigenous people, and communities bearing the brunt of climate change);
Engaging voters in these communities through nonpartisan civic engagement campaigns; and
Winning climate and clean energy policy solutions that reflect the priorities of communities and advance racial, economic, and environmental justice.
Founded in 2016, the Equity Fund partners with organizations in 13 states (Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Nevada, New Mexico, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Virginia), and will expand its reach to additional states in the coming years.
Grassroots groups advocating for and organizing communities of color, Indigenous, working class and rural communities – often people hardest hit by climate change – are accomplishing critical work to build the collective power of communities. These communities are often the strongest supporters of climate policy and are a key political force to advance community demands and win durable policy change. The Equity Fund serves as a conduit for foundations and donors to partner with and support these grassroots organizations across the country. Because of Equity Fund’s expertise and deep relationships with community-led groups working at the intersection of climate change and economic, racial, and environmental justice, the Equity Fund can identify and nurture local grantee partners that have large-scale bases of members and track records of winning policy victories in their cities and states. The team then works to synthesize and share lessons learned from their grantee partners so that foundations and donors can better understand how grassroots groups can more effectively build power to advance climate solutions and then develop and coordinate funding strategies that will have the greatest results.
OPPORTUNITIES & EXPECTATIONS FOR THE VICE PRESIDENT OF PROGRAMS
The Vice President of Programs will serve as a critical member of the Executive Team and advance the Equity Fund’s mission by leading the Equity Fund and Action Fund’s programmatic priorities. Reporting to the President, and in collaboration with the President and program leads, the VP of Programs will drive the planning and execution of the Equity Fund’s Grants and Power Building, Communications Accelerator, and Policy Accelerator program strategies and goals.
As an experienced and decisive leader who knows how to foster relationship building and collaboration across teams to drive progress, the VP of Programs will advance a strategy for climate equity that is centered around building the power of diverse communities to advance equitable climate policies. This role is internal-strategy oriented, driving the big picture strategy and prioritization of the Funds’ programmatic work alongside external relationship building with funders, allied organizations, and grantee partners. The successful candidate will refine and clarify process for each programmatic function, ensuring that the Program Team understands the details of a sharpening theory of change, the process through which their input is received and considered, and how their work connects to the organization's mission and impact.
The VP of Programs will be responsible for providing leadership and driving success in the following key areas:
Organizational & Strategic Leadership
Work closely with the President and other Executive Team members to develop a clear, long-term vision and strategic direction for all Equity Fund and Action Fund program strategies and priorities.
Serve as an executive manager and decision-maker, providing the organizational leadership required to establish processes for team input to strategy, while driving positive change and ensuring strategic alignment, integration, and execution across programs and departments.
Support fundraising and cultivation of funder relationships to drive the organization’s theory of change, anchor the organization’s role in the climate movement, and to gain visibility and opportunities for the Equity Fund and Action Fund.

Strategic Vision and Core Knowledge
Broad knowledge of the climate philanthropy field and an understanding of the historical context, institutions, and systems that combine to compound the effects of climate change on people of color and other disenfranchised groups in the United States.
Ability to apply both a macro and state-level view on relevant trends in climate change organizing, politics, policy, and communications, with a strong curiosity and interest in tracking the needs and developing areas of the field.
A proven thought leader with an understanding of and ability to articulate the value proposition for the emergent role that intermediary funders play in supporting nonprofit infrastructure and capacity building in communities.

ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION
The Climate + Clean Energy Equity Fund (the Equity Fund) is supporting a multi-state infrastructure of community-based organizations building power needed to advance an equitable clean energy future. The Equity Fund is strategically building power by:
Investing in the leadership and organizing of diverse communities (Black, Latinx, AAPI, Indigenous people, and communities bearing the brunt of climate change);
Engaging voters in these communities through nonpartisan civic engagement campaigns; and

Founded in 2016, the Equity Fund partners with organizations in 13 states (Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Nevada, New Mexico, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Virginia), and will expand its reach to additional states in the coming years.
Grassroots groups advocating for and organizing communities of color, Indigenous, working class and rural communities – often people hardest hit by climate change – are accomplishing critical work to build the collective power of communities. These communities are often the strongest supporters of climate policy and are a key political force to advance community demands and win durable policy change. The Equity Fund serves as a conduit for foundations and donors to partner with and support these grassroots organizations across the country. Because of Equity Fund’s expertise and deep relationships with community-led groups working at the intersection of climate change and economic, racial, and environmental justice, the Equity Fund can identify and nurture local grantee partners that have large-scale bases of members and track records of winning policy victories in their cities and states. OPPORTUNITIES & EXPECTATIONS FOR THE VICE PRESIDENT OF PROGRAMS
The Vice President of Programs will serve as a critical member of the Executive Team and advance the Equity Fund’s mission by leading the Equity Fund and Action Fund’s programmatic priorities. Reporting to the President, and in collaboration with the President and program leads, the VP of Programs will drive the planning and execution of the Equity Fund’s Grants and Power Building, Communications Accelerator, and Policy Accelerator program strategies and goals.
As an experienced and decisive leader who knows how to foster relationship building and collaboration across teams to drive progress, the VP of Programs will advance a strategy for climate equity that is centered around building the power of diverse communities to advance equitable climate policies. This role is internal-strategy oriented, driving the big picture strategy and prioritization of the Funds’ programmatic work alongside external relationship building with funders, allied organizations, and grantee partners. The successful candidate will refine and clarify process for each programmatic function, ensuring that the Program Team understands the details of a sharpening theory of change, the process through which their input is received and considered, and how their work connects to the organization's mission and impact.
The VP of Programs will be responsible for providing leadership and driving success in the following key areas:
Organizational & Strategic Leadership
Work closely with the President and other Executive Team members to develop a clear, long-term vision and strategic direction for all Equity Fund and Action Fund program strategies and priorities.
Serve as an executive manager and decision-maker, providing the organizational leadership required to establish processes for team input to strategy, while driving positive change and ensuring strategic alignment, integration, and execution across programs and departments.
Support fundraising and cultivation of funder relationships to drive the organization’s theory of change, anchor the organization’s role in the climate movement, and to gain visibility and opportunities for the Equity Fund and Action Fund.

Partner with the President on the strategic direction and agendas for Board meetings, including the creation of memos, reports, and presentations.

Program Management & Execution
In partnership with the directors on the program team, develop, implement, and execute cohesive program-wide and state-specific strategies across programmatic areas to support mission impact by translating strategies into actionable workplans with measurable outcomes.
Oversee grantmaking and creation of docket memos, strategy papers, and reports for the program team.
Drive Equity Fund and Action Fund organizational planning, prioritization, and budgeting processes by working collaboratively with leaders across Equity Fund and Action Fund to ensure priorities are successfully executed and objectives met on time.
Ensure cross-departmental work is cohesive and working groups hold strategic priorities at the core, ensuring program leadership is aligned around bodies of work.

Ability to apply both a macro and state-level view on relevant trends in climate change organizing, politics, policy, and communications, with a strong curiosity and interest in tracking the needs and developing areas of the field.
A proven thought leader with an understanding of and ability to articulate the value proposition for the emergent role that intermediary funders play in supporting nonprofit infrastructure and capacity building in communities.

Job Description The Kennedy Center Marketing and Sales department is charged with planning, creating and optimizing all marketing communications to promote performing arts and other events at the Center and in offsite communities. Reporting to the Senior Marketing Manager, the Marketing Analytics Manger will advance data collection and analysis to inform advertising and sales, strategic planning, and patron experience decision making. This position will also work closely with the Senior Vice President of Marketing and Chief Strategy Officer and the business intelligence and CRM teams within the IT department. Key Responsibilities Analysis Understand the goals of campaigns and marketing activities and collaborate with marketing team to derive relevant metrics, targets, and data collection strategies and communicate insights to stakeholders. Create data visualizations that illustrate trends and inform decision making. Effectively communicate research and insights findings to all levels of the organization to help guide strategic decision making. Monitor ongoing analytics such as website traffic, email campaign results, and social media activity. Collaborate with Capacity Interactive on our Google Analytics implementation. Set hypotheses, conduct A/B testing and make recommendations for optimization of marketing campaigns using both Wordfly and Google Analytics data. Perform analytical strategic “deep dives” into trends, including preparing thought-guiding materials and metrics for various Kennedy Center Boards, including the WNO, NSO, and Kennedy Center Boards Create and maintain statistical regression analysis across genres to inform revenue projection process. Maintain models for forecasting revenue for performances during the sales cycle. Use machine learning tools to help revenue projects get even more accurate. Build predictive models that help solve complex business problems. Reporting Develop recurring reports focused on end user experience and share reports cross functionally. Integrate external data sets from research and surveys into customer data for analysis. Work to help clean and standardize marketing data collection and data input into Tessitura. Plan and execute audience survey strategy, including collaborating with consultants on baseline audience surveys, planning and coordinating intercept surveys for capturing information from millennium stage audiences, and maintaining and reporting on our triggered post performance survey. Maintain regular sales reporting, including daily sales reports, daily forecasting reports, and weekly sales reports for all Kennedy Center programs. Report on audience insights including demographic and geographic trends across genres and over time. Create and manage cross-departmental after-action reviews for select events and campaigns. CRM Establish best practices for segmentation, forecasting, targeting, analysis, and execution of CRM programs across all genres. Manage segmentation strategy for all marketing lists. Evaluate data needs of various marketing and web staff and work with IT team to ensure data is available, reliable, and appropriately secured. Work closely with the BI teams and the CRM teams in the IT department as the representative for marketing in conversations regarding systems upgrades, prioritization of projects, and other moments that need marketing representation. Other duties as assigned. Key Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience 4-6 years’ proven experience in analytics and/or marketing analysis Experience in the arts or entertainment industry preferred Strong knowledge of Google Analytics and e-commerce tracking Experience with customer relationship management databases and ticketing software, Tessitura preferred Working knowledge of data visualization principals and experience using data visualization software Understanding of marketing principles and common metrics Desire to work on both technical and non-technical projects Understanding of basic data science and principles of statistics Familiarity with SQL and Machine Learning a plus Candidate must be local or willing to relocate to the DMV area
