We have an immediate opening for the position Senior Designer for our Granite City, IL location.

Position Description:
The Senior Designer will function as the lead in preparing detailed manufacturing drawings and assemblies using 3-D solid models for analytical and operational uses. The ideal candidate must be certified AutoCAD and CREO user with excellent math skills and able to work from minimal instructions. Capable of working in a team environment or independently in support of engineering, manufacturing and quality to meet company and industry standards. Must be able to complete projects in a timely and professional manor.

Position Responsibilities:

  • 2-D Drafting - AutoCAD software,  create new detail drawings and revise existing drawings from verbal and/or written instructions
  • 3-D Modeling - CREO software, create new detail drawings and revise existing drawings from verbal and/or written instructions
  • Develop 3-D solid models to support current products and new development
  • Develop layouts and sketches to assist the product engineers
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Basic Qualifications:

  • 2 year college degree and/or technical training in the mechanical design/drafting field
  • 7-10 years drafting experience in the manufacturing field with mechanical parts
  • Certified and trained AutoCAD user capable of creating 2-D mechanical detail drawings
  • Certified CREO user capable of creating 3-D models and detail drawings
  • Basic knowledge in Microsoft office products (Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Basic knowledge in SAP
  • Desire to work in a dynamic environment and have a continuous improvement and development mindset
