The City of Portland is currently seeking a Public Works Supervisor II within Maintenance Operations in The Portland Bureau of Transportation (PBOT). This is a great opportunity to provide leadership and work with staff to create a high performance, service-oriented, safety sensitive work environment that supports the City's and the Bureau's missions and objectives. In coordination and collaboration with other staff, divisions, bureaus and agencies this position schedules, assigns and inspects the work of skilled and semi-skilled personnel engaged in the construction, maintenance and repair of the City's public works infrastructure. Public Works Supervisors II are responsible for implementing unit goals, objectives, work plans, supervising staff and directing day-to-day activities. The incumbent is considered an essential employee and a member of the bureau's 24-hour response team and may require after-hour, evening, weekend, and holiday emergency response.
