The Shipping and Receiving Supervisor position is located at our McGaw Road facility in Obetz, OH in support of the assembly, and foaming operations.
The Shipping and Receiving Supervisor reports directly to the Warehouse Supervisor. The Shipping and Receiving Supervisor will support and interact with all direct production and indirect supporting functions to include but not limited to the Plant Manager, Production Supervisors, Master Scheduler, Production Control, Material Planner, Order Entry Analyst, , Quality, and Engineering.
In this role, this individual will be responsible for overseeing the operation of incoming and outgoing shipments. Is actively involved in the receipt and shipment of finished goods, raw materials and supplies. Required to ensure inventory accuracy and product is handled in a first in, first out manner. May be required to prepare and monitor department budget. Responsible for warehouse staffing and assignment of duties to subordinate staff. Reviews the effectiveness of operating and safety procedures, maintenance of equipment, space utilization, and protection of purchased items/supplies. Responsible for overseeing and performing tasks involved in receiving and shipping of finished goods, raw materials, supplies and equipment in a warehouse environment.
Major Duties and Responsibilities Include:
The Shipping and Receiving position requires a college degree and equivalent experience. Familiarity with the automotive supply industry is a plus.
The ideal candidate has four or more years of shipping and receiving experience. The individual must possess strong analysis/problem solving and communication skills. Candidates must possess and have a proven ability to effectively function in a team
