Amount of Travel Required:   Occasional Day and Overnight Travel

Salary Grade:   D

Positions Supervised:   Direct: Test Examiners, academic coaches, tutoring coordinators, student coaches  district-wide (benefit eligible and part time)

 

LOCATION:  Green Bay

STANDARD HOURS:  40 hours per week. Typical hours Monday-Friday 8:00a.m. – 5:00 p.m.; Flexibility required to include other evening and/or weekend hours as necessary.

MINIMUM STARTING SALARY*: $69,993/year  

*Current benefit eligible employees will be placed within the pay range based on their current rate/range.

POSITION SUMMARY

Provide direction and leadership to the Assessment and Academic Coaching teams.  Ensure consistent Assessment policies and practices are utilized throughout the district. Oversee the academic support programming across the district.

Essential Functions Statement(s)

  • Provide leadership to Assessment and academic coaching teams regarding day to day operations. Create an environment of open, honest dialogue.
  • Assist in the development of the vision and direction for the departments Develop action plan items consistent with the goals and objectives of the departments and that support student success.
  • Develop and monitor department budgets. Monitor revenues and expenses to ensure operation within budget. Ensure funding sources and grant approved use of funds are allocated appropriately.
  • Facilitate team action plan consistent with the strategic direction and the mission, vision, and values of the College and that support student success.
  • Foster an environment to improve the performance of the team(s) and or department.
  • Facilitate student access to academic coaching program and services across the district.
  • Plan, develop and implement new programs and procedures to increase access to academic support services.
  • Initiate human resource actions to address staff vacancies and performance issues. Complete performance reviews. Communicate performance expectations and provide positive and constructive feedback.
  • Provide leadership and support to K-12 partners, employers, government agencies and other community organizations in response to assessment needs.
  • Research innovative academic support programs and assessment tools and reporting policies and practices. Evaluate existing tools and practices and recommend modifications to ensure compliance with state and federal agencies.
  • Facilitate the accomplishment of grant and program outcomes and appropriate reporting of activities.
  • Oversee the implementation and delivery of testing systems throughout the NWTC district and ensure district-wide alignment of testing and academic coaching policies and procedures.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education: Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree preferred

Experience: Five years related experience

 **An equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered.
