Job Description

How you will contribute:

Valmont is currently seeking a highly motivated and talented individual for the Territory Manager position in the Global Utility Division. We are looking for a highly driven individual that will lead and manage the territory sales rep organizations to support the group’s business goals.

Additionally, you will…
* Be responsible for customer communications and targeted new client development
* Be the main POC for key customers and direct management of Reps
* Lead proposal process and develop account strategy based on account position
* Identify and Drive Target engagement of all product families
* Drive pre-bid, Post-bid follow up from Reps and coordinate with product managers
* Maximize the opportunity for sales within an assigned territory by maximizing the coverage to gain market share
* Develop and maintain competitive awareness, accurate market share, and have contact with community groups
* Evaluate training needs and co-coordinate training with product manager.
* Develop effective methods of communication for monitoring and reporting field problems and solutions to other departments within Valmont to help ensure a prompt response to the needs of the dealers and customers within the assigned area

What it takes:
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a Business related field
- Five years of previous experience in a Sales Management position
- Strong leadership, problem solving, cross-functional team building and communication skills
- The ability to organize and manage multiple, simultaneous priorities
- The ability to travel with overnight stays up to 70% of the month

Highly qualified candidates will also possess:
* Experience with managing rep firms
* Understanding of Account Segmentation, SWOT, Stakeholder Analysis, and developing account strategy.
* The ability to work independently and build relationships
* The ability to schedule daily workload without supervision or direction
* The ability to work quickly and efficiently with employees, suppliers, suppliers, and vendors
* A strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy while working in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines
* Knowledge of the material, costs, techniques, and processes used within the sales area
* Judgment and decision making skills while comparing relative cost and benefit potential
* Deductive reasoning ability to formulate answers to specific questions that make sense
* Must be a person of passion and integrity who has the drive to excel and deliver exceptional results
