Job Description

SimplexGrinnell is a global leader in the design, manufacture, installation, and service of a comprehensive array of networked and integrated fire alarm, fire sprinkler, suppression, security, and communications systems.  Our continued success and growth has produced a need for a Preventive Maintenance Accounts Sales Representative in our Livermore, California location.   Job Responsibilities Promote and sell service agreements for commercial building systems products in the South Bay Area. Establish contact with prospects and qualify potential buyers of service contracts by scheduling sales calls, following up of leads and utilizing outlined marketing strategies.  Determine customer needs and develop a sales strategy and formal sales plan to gain customer understanding of Company service offerings.  Close sufficient sales to minimally meet sales plan objectives.  Develop and maintain an active proposal backlog that will support achieving the sales plan.  Conduct building surveys to support the development of estimates.  Maintain correct and complete records of all sales related activities.  Submit all required sales reports, expenses, competitive activity and correspondence in an accurate and timely manner.  Develop a positive ongoing relationship with customers to ensure that SimplexGrinnell is meeting their requirements to ensure long-term customer loyalty.  Support the Service Department towards achieving customer excellence, as well as working with other Departments to generate leads for service or equipment / device upgrades.  Meet key objectives of Annual Commission plan.  Perform other duties as required.  

Job Requirements

Minimum Basic Qualifications ·         Three years  of outside sales experience, with a proven, successful record of accomplishment ·         Excellent communication skills ·         Very highly motivated and success driven ·         Must have ability to persuade and close sales ·        Must have ability to handle a variety of situations encountered during sales process, and disciplined enough to work with limited supervision ·         Sales quota achievement as well as implement service sales strategy to exceed goals ·         Ability to sell intangible services   A High School Diploma or equivalent is required, along with a valid driver’s license with good driving record.  Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background verification check.   The successful candidate will have the opportunity to represent the industry in an established territory with a large installed customer base.  They will be given the freedom to develop their own marketing strategies and tailor offerings to the specific needs of the customer.                                                                 SimplexGrinnell is part of Tyco Fire & Security, an international organization with representation in more than 800 offices in 51 countries.  We offer a full compensation package, fleet vehicle program, paid expenses and advancement opportunities, as well as an excellent benefits program, educational assistance & 401(k).
