Job Title: Nuclear Operations Training Supervisor
Department: Training
Summary of Position Duties
The Nuclear Operations Training Supervisor manages the following operations training programs:
· Reactor operator
· Senior reactor operator
· Shift manager
· Shift technical advisor
· Non-licensed operator (System operator)
· Licensed operator continuing training
Job Responsibilities – Operations Training Programs
Analysis Supervising needs, job, and task analysis of site training programs Supervising gap analysis of INPO Uniform Curriculum at Augusta Tech Design Designing training objectives Designing shop training Equipping training shop for conduct of skills training Developing the overall training plan Development Supervising lesson material development Documenting accreditation applications Implementation of training Coordinating training with line management Coordinating operations training review committees Assigning instructors for Classroom training Shop training Flow loop (lab) training Gap training at Augusta Tech Evaluation Scheduling management observations of training Determining training program effectiveness Conducting assessments, research, and evaluations Approving training materials Corrective Action program activities, deadline management Evaluation of partner programs at Augusta Tech Personnel Managing operations instructional staff Managing simulator staff Managing operations training contractors Managing candidates engaged in initial training programs Regulatory Managing applications for operator licenses Scheduling operator license exams with NRC Region 2 Managing operator license exam development Managing exam security Accreditation Managing accreditation self evaluation process Coordinating accreditation visits with INPO General Managing the operations training budget Supporting the line organization as requested during temporary outage assignments Managing control room simulators To ensure fidelity To ensure availability for training To support of acceptance testing To support annual performance testing Managing project work load Managing emergency plan training for operations personnel

Educational Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related science desirable
Background/Experience Requirements
A total of six (6) years of power plant experience of which a minimum of one 4 years is nuclear power plant experience A maximum of two (2) years of plant experience may be fulfilled by academic or related technical training on a one-for-one basis.
Technical Requirements
US NRC senior reactor operator license within 5 years Detailed knowledge of plant operations procedures and regulations Detailed knowledge of nuclear plant systems and processes
