Identify businesses, community organizations, institutions, industry partners and others to form strong partnerships
Oversee the marketing, promoting and showcasing of the multicultural communities through the departments support and services
Work with community organizations and local government to ensure heritage neighborhood tourism readiness and provide targeted education and support
Plan and execute strategic initiatives to support and grow various Multicultural tourism programs to include tourist district development and Art of Black Miami.
Organizer of Multicultural resource information both locally and nationally
Point of contact for festivals and other projects as designated by the VP
Work in conjunction with other GMCVB Departments to promote and market the destination with a targeted thrust on Multicultural tourism
Success in this position requires top-notch commitment to enhancing multicultural understanding internally and externally.
Have a broad experience in the development of educational, cultural, and social programs as well as the hospitality industry.
Possess a demonstrated history of success working both independently and as part of a team.
Proven ability to collaborate and work successfully with multiple constituents to deliver and improve programs and initiatives.
Possess superb communication skills.
Project management and organization
Knowledge of the visual arts world and/or economic business development background is important
Tech Savvy in WORD, Excel, PowerPoint is a plus
Bachelor’s Degree as well as 3 years minimum , overall work experience in the areas of hospitality, marketing, sales, public relations, community relations and multicultural initiatives.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Ability to speak and understand an additional language a plus.

The Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau seeks to hire a Media Relations & Promotions Coordinator. The incumbent will:
Position Summary : Assist with major events in compiling committee rosters, expediting sponsorship material, organizing meetings and being an immediate contact for related issues and expediting incoming fulfillment requests.
Provides in-house and on-site assistance with familiarization and sightseeing tours.
Assists with distributions of promotional products and collateral material internally and externally. Collects data for and writes bi-weekly PR Alert newsletter.
Stays up-to-date on destination.
Accurately forwards media inquiries to appropriate market manager.
Files major clips and copies to members.
Maintains database for Members and PR Leads and works with international and domestic PR firms to assemble monthly PR Clipping & Activity Report.
Provides monthly, quarterly and executive reports.
Works alongside AVP for Social Media communication and postings.
Required Skills & Abilities :
Bachelors in Communications, PR, Advertising or Marketing or comparable experience.
3 years’ experience in Administrative Support with at least one year experience being in a PR, Advertising or Marketing environment. Agency experience preferred.
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Proficient knowledge of major social media applications including Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram
Must be proficient in English. Spanish a plus. Preferred knowledge in third language (Portuguese, German, French or Italian)
Interpersonal skills for frequent interaction with customers.
At least one year experience of having worked for multiple managers and manage multiple priorities
Proficient use of grammar, spelling and punctuation and ability to proofread alpha and numeric data.
Good and consistent attendance.
Friendly telephone manner.
